Criteria Coffee

Hands down my favourite cafe in Hobart when I visit. Coming from Melbourne, I’m spoilt for choice, but Criterion delivers on every level - atmosphere, service, coffee, food and consistency.
This morning I walked in and sat down, and before I even had the chance to order, my piccolo was served. A clear indication my previous 3 visits were noted by the lovely barista who greets all with a smile as they enter.
As always, see you on the next visit - please don’t take the porridge off the menu, ever!

Had a great experience visiting these guys for the first time, ordering beans through them for the first time, and a great time participating in one of their knowledge sessions. A true team of super enthusiastic people, willing to help and share knowledge!

Have been getting a weekly coffee subscription for a number of months now. Coffee always arrives promptly and within a couple of days of its roasted date. Always tastes amazing. I get a random selection of the different beans that they have available so the flavours are always changing. It spoils your tastebuds.

Lucky me was gifted a 6-month Criteria Coffee subscription and here are my three freaking favourite things about it:
1. There are so many styles of coffee supplied that you actually get to know what you like - who knew I liked natural processing for a cloudy but vibrant in flavour filter coffee? I didn't. Do now!
2. If there's ever a time that you're unable to get to the post office, or you're having too many coffees out and you think you can survive without cracking a delivery - gifting a bag of fresh coffee to a mate or neighbour is the best feeling ever.
3. Coffee, guaranteed. Always there for you. Always different, always delicious. Thanks mates.

Craig's palette has been trained amazingly well season during his career in multiple competition and during his coffee journey in origin trips for green coffee hunting. This place is designed with very good measurement that will suits to all your needs for roasting, cupping, barista training (espresso, milk coffee and filter). Nice set-up, great beans, better roasting. They do subscription with delicious beans. By far the best I know for roasting and training.
