Cripps Family Fish Farm reviews
30We have bought our Christmas seafood from them for the last couple of years and have been very happy. Today we bought their pre packaged marinara mix for a seafood pasta dish and the freshness of the marinara was sensational. We have tried the marinara mix from other places around Frankston and Carrum Downs and this is hands down the freshest we have ever had. 5 stars and highly recommended.
I was employed by Hanna. I’m fighting for my payslips which are being refused and the pay owed to me for several hours worked. I wouldn’t recommend their business to anyone.
Have taken many visiting family and friends here before lockdown
A pleasant day out for all and also have a shop to buy other varieties of fish products you can't catch there all fresh and locally caught
Highly recommend farm and the shop as fish freshest and best quality food l have been going there since it opened
Staff always polite and friendly at Cripps Family Fish Farm and Shop
The food was nice, I was expecting fish and chips to be fast and cheap but my son and I waited 30 minutes for our food and payed $31.50 for 1 flake, 2 fish bites, a small chips and 4 nuggets. Apparently there was a 15% charge due to a public holiday which i'm pretty sure today is not.
I also had to clean the table myself.
Great set up to teach kids how fish is caught and eaten. Felt very welcome here and can't wait to come back.
Orderd a seafood plater for fathers day, absolute rip off at 125$ for amount received, price was on packaging which is a joke as a fathers day gift, and placement of food was not up to standard as per there photo on website.plz stay away
The fish tasted like fish kinda weird but ok. I liked the ponds and swimming in them was very nice
No fish the ones that were there were dead in the pond, so wouldn't be eating if we did catch anything, kids disappointed definitely wouldn't go back11
Never coming back to this place again. Fish farm but I saw only 2 fish up and down of the pond. The
other ponds didn't see any thing. We sat down many hours, and caught nothing. Not that fun for the kids at all.
Not a good place won't be going back I swear there is only 1 fish in each pond not hundreds as told people avoid as there are far better places out there
Lovely staff and kid friendly. Only bad thing was we didn't catch anything. You catch you pay for the fish so I guess it was extra money we saved.
Don’t know about the fish farm but you must get their fish n chips out of the van on Oliver’s hill Frankston. They were to die for. $20 tradie pack fish, chips, 2 dim sims & can of coke. Yummo.
Ordered a medium seafood platter for my daughter's birthday. Fresh and tasty. It was a big winner with the party guests. Ordered over the phone and picked it up at Tallarook farmers market. We will be ordering again in the future!
The man that looked after us in the fishing area is fantastic. We are aware of the rules but got a smaller fish one time and we returned it back because of it’s size. The owner of the farm SHOUTED on us while walking in front of EVERYONE, pointing his fingers and yelled “YOU DO THAT AGAIN, YOU’RE GOING HOME! I paid $6 for each fish” very unprofessional should I say. If he thinks we’ve done something inappropriate he should’ve approached us nicely. My husband even apoligised after he raised his voice. The fishes are overpriced we just want to have a good weekend with our kids but turned out to be a horrible one because of his appalling behaviour. “MONEY CAN’T BUY YOU A CLASS MATE. ”
Lovely Sea food platters on Grand Final day. Shame the Cats were not good enough but the food was.
Never been to fish farm so i can only review my own experience.bought fresh kingfish from olivers hill. Asked owner is it waa sashimi grade n i ate it raw for 3days beautiful $20 average $6.33 for 3 fresh seafood meals. No Complaints here, and will be back
Cripps Fish and Chips: Tonight I ordered a Seafood Basket for 1 - got my order and I couldn't see the potato cake. I mention that to the staff - they are adamant it is in there. I move some chips around show them, it is still not there. They dismiss me and say it is at the bottom of the box it is there. I didn't want to continue to argue - the box isn't big to begin with.overpriced, small portion, ripped me off - would not recommend
Terrible. Dying business. Claims they have 300 in their big pond and 140 in their little pond. Even someone with common sense will call it bs. Other fish farms you can actually see fish swarming in their pools. Everyone who I saw attended in the hour I was there didn’t catch a thing.
I ended up paying for Unlimited catch and release. I wanted a refund and just pay for rods and bait but they said no refund. I couldn't even catch one to release!
Old family business just want to milk everyone before they close up. If I can give negative stars I would.
I drove across town. Don’t go. Head to Rainbow Trout Farm Macclesfield instead. Don’t waste your time going here.
We had a great time here and we did not land a fish.
The operator cam around and gave the kids icey poles as it was hot.
When you arrive ask them how active the fish have been. If there are not then I would go for the catch and keep option.
If they are active then you might want to go for the catch and release.
Why?
Because you dont want to be in a position where you catch fish quickly and nee to go home because each fish caught you must buy on the catch and keep option.
Had the scallop special from their food van at olivers hill 3 for 5$. Staff was nice but they were the smallest scallops ive seen in my life. Deceiving the publick comes back to bite
