Cricket Victoria reviews
20 I had the opportunity to visit this cricket Victoria facility over the weekend with my local club.
The facility stands out for its cleanliness and well-maintained environment, making it an excellent choice for net practice. The presence of speed displays in every net is a valuable feature for players looking to refine their skills. Additionally, the availability of a bowling machine for solo practice is a great asset.
It's also convenient to have a café on-site, providing coffee and drinks for those much-needed refreshment breaks.
However, a minor downside is the difficulty in finding parking, compounded by the fact that it's paid parking only. Despite this, the overall experience at this facility is positive, and it's an excellent choice for cricket enthusiasts looking to enhance their game.
While the ground is good for cricket, VCA has control for the connoisseur of the game practice pitches are directly behind the bowlers runup at the Southern end as a result premium watching is limited. Grandstands while historic are not suitable for cricket square on, built for Australian Football. Parking is restricted and public transport to the ground is poor from the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. MCG any day.
I love cricket and the St Kilda cricket ground provides the perfect setting to watch great cricket. Facilities are top notch and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
I attended an event here. Found it very disappointing, due to lack of bathroom facilities They appeared to be all on one side of the conplex. Good PTV network though.
If you want people to come and support Australian women's cricket at this venue, then you must with council officials for better parking in this area. We travelled from country Victoria, to support our ladies and now were out of pocket $182 for ridiculous parking fine, for parking on grass that wasn't blocking anyone or destroying any fauna. Bloody joke.
If you enjoy watching cricket from the line for food you’ll love this ground! 50 mins for a microwave pie and an extra 20 for some chips.
The colonial “lounge” is 3 open tents at the back of the field.
$15 for a T20 would be fine, $50 is a joke
Magnificent new facility at the Junction Oval. Extraordinary views for public. Excellent public transport available. Strongly recommend you visit this superb facility. You will not be disappointed.
Visited this ground to watch India New Zealand women's T20 world cup match. Beautiful ground still with old world charm. Request authorities to keep this ground in its present state. No concrete jungle around this ground.
Nice place, watched match with a small group, every one seems to be enjoying. Great atmosphere. With sea breeze cooling us on a warm day
Cricket in cricket Victoria just everything goes well when you watch the match over there. Great stands. You will find great food and great facilities.
Home of Victorian Cricket, with the State team playing Sheffield Shield and One Day matches, plus the WBBL Melbourne Stars playing T20. A fine location to experience the civility of cricket: bring outdoor chairs and rugs to spectate from the grassy hill; sit on traditional bench seating in the heritage listed Blackie-Ironmonger Stand, or get in early for limited stadium seating outside the modern Citipower Centre. Match day catering facilities including café, bar, foodtruck, and periodic dining in the Citipower Centre.
IF ONLY THEY HAD THOUGHT OF PARKING SO MORE COULD ATTEND THE GAMES.
Otherwise a great development
Magnificent training facilities available. Clubs should attempt to organise at least one pre-season seisson here. Only downside is minimal parking is available.
For a fun offsite location to do workplace training in, while it had beautiful rooms and facilities, other than the views of the field from the room, there wasn’t much else about it that stood out. The catering was good. The room was freezing. If I had the choice again I’d choose a different location.
Great venue for watching cricket.
Food and coffee closed way to early just after the start of the second innings.
Close to action and the stars.
Amazing renovations underway of this great venue making it an excellent place to watch cricket. WBBL was superb
A great new cricket facility, beautiful grounds stands and plenty of room to move around a g fantastic development by cricket Victoria and the port Phillip council.
Great place to watch the WBBL. Could do with some signage directing you to it as we weren’t sure where the entrance was initially. Really long queues for everything when I was there but assumed it was because it was an unusually busy event.
Can't argue with the story Crucket Victoria had out in for training and facilities for the kids (and kids at heart). Grab your bag and ball and one or two others, and have a ball of a time
The historical significance of this place never ceases to amaze me. Firstly the secret meeting place of significant politicians during the first world war and then the birthplace of the Melbourne Storm rugby league club
