Crichton Removals

24 Jan 2024. Household items moved from Foxhow Victoria to Sydney NSW. No problems and pickup and delivery was handled in a great manner. Truck driver and his offsides were both pleasant, polite and hard working.
I would recommend this company based in Geelong Victoria.

Had moved with Crichtons before, this time was a longer move so the quoted amount was much higher, but thought I’d go with them given they were good the first time, wanted the money upfront, then proceeded to damage my stuff and not put boxes in the rooms where they were labeled to go, and then put a hole in a wall, owner of the business doesn’t seem to want to accept responsibility, not sure who fell asleep at the wheel and put this bloke in charge, there’s only one direction this business is going and it’s not up. Steer clear unless you want to be ripped off.

The booking process was very easy. Great customer service. The two men arrived on time and were friendly, professional, helpful and extremely efficient. They took care when packing all our furniture into the truck and then again when unloading and packing it all into our garage for storage. Excellent price and great service. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to everyone.

From initial enquiry to the time the truck left our house after unloading these guys were excellent.
We also had a few days of interim storage which was no issue for them.
Fairly priced and no hesitation in recommending them.

I've moved several times in the last few years and eveytime Crichton have outdone themselves. The removalists are hard working and cheery and very careful, even on a 37 degree day. No issues at all.

These guys were very efficient, and did a great job with our move in a very timely manner.

These guys were great. Office staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Movers were on time, fast and the job came in under the estimated cost. Would highly recommend.

Very disappointed with this service - had my stuff in storage everything was ok except 1 box missing (6 bottles of spirits) I’ve emailed and rung and no response, not even an apology.

BEWARE!
I had booked this company well in advance and confirmed the week prior to my move. On the day of the move they cancelled telling me they could not get their truck down my street due to low power lines. I explained that public buses and a large Removalist truck had originally moved me there but they insisted it was not possible. They offered no remedy or help to find someone else and completely left me in the lurch.

Had them booked for 8am with a call confirming that the night before. 8am came and went. Tried calling a few times, got through on the 3rd try at about 10am. They explained that they had another job pop up and were going to be another 30 minutes, so I'd just wasted hours waiting around for them. No apology was given or an acknowledgment that they should have let me know.

Once they arrived they were good, efficient and honest. Price was reasonable.

We just moved from Melbourne down to the coast and we had the best guys, excellent service and very professional these guys are awesome well done boys will recommend you two to anyone. Moving. Thankyou for your swift work and great blokes Travis and co worker so sorry didn’t get your name.

Had a great experience with this service, made the booking very easily had a confirmation phone call the day before the move then both men worked very hard with a full truck loading and unloading all done very professionally and carefully.

Recommend hiring someone else:
I hired this company to move into my new build after a great experience 3 years ago. The removalists were rough shot with my new home floor and walls and most boxes had broken items in it whilst carefully packed with bubble wrap and papers. Couch and oil heater also damaged. Sent several emails with photo's and descriptions of damages to my property and possessions. Called several times but got a message saying the person dealing with the complaint, Brett, was unavailable, or couldn't get through at all and had to leave a message. Still no response nearly 2 weeks after the move.

Update: The supplier responded. Repaired one item that was broken. Think my review might not be reflective of the quality of the supplier overall but not convinced. Hope things improve.

The guys from chichton did a fantastic job for the recent move from Geelong to Melbourne, punctual, friendly and professional all done within a minimal time frame, happy to say that the final cost came in well below my estimated budget. Highly recommended.

Fantastic work from both teams of guys from Crichton that did my removal, storage and delivery! They powered through the whole time and took great care in avoiding walls and doorways with some tricky manoeuvres.
Had great communication about pricing, pickup and delivery times and the guys were so friendly - which made what could have been a very stressful time a cruisey, fun experience.

AVOID THIS COMPANY
Extremely dishonest, incompetent and unprofessional. After damaging approximately $2000 worth of furniture, the owner Brett did not respond to phone calls or emails. The truck arrived with other peoples items in it so my own belongings barely fitted. Shannon and his co-worker rushed unpacking and showed no respect for any of my items. Please read through other negative comments before dealing with these removalist.

This was our second move by Crichton. The first was from Melbourne to the Bellarine Penisular where they went far beyond our expectations with complications during lockdown in 2020. This time it was a smaller load to Queensland. Both times their service, care, friendliness and speed was so appreciated. Highly recommend for any type of removal.
