Creations Studio of Dance (CSOD)

My daughter (5yrs at beginning of year) joined the studio this year (2022) I have waited at least 6 months so I can give an honest review and a good time frame to ensure we have gotten the full experience of the studio. Despite seeing some negative reviews on here (and understanding that online reviews are not always honest) we signed up and did free trial classes at csod. From the very first session with Jess my daughter was happy, excited and confident.
This year I have watched her passion and dedication grow, and develop and learn many new skills.
Why we love the studio:
*All the teachers are amazing and attentive to ALL the students in the classes teaching proper technique
*mid year gala which was so much fun, venue was great
*hire fee for costumes for gala and eoy concert is nicely priced not expensive (this is in comparison to having been at other studios)
*don't discriminate against children with disabilities
*communication with parents is a+, emails, and a private online parent group also.
* has a great family friendly feel
* all the parents get along well, are friendly and chatty
*lovely renovations have been made creating a bigger reception area
*canteen of snacks available and once a month special items
*dress up days, and mums dancing on mothers day week, fathers day etc
*support and encouragement if child learns solos and does competitions.
Overall it has just been a pleasant fulfilling experience, and we hope our daughter enjoys many more years at the studio

My daughter started to dance Sep 2014 in CSOD. Almost all school around the area didn’t accept her because they are all busy with the year-end concert and it’s compulsory. Ms Jess is the only one accept us to start and said we don’t need to do concert if my daughter is not ready. This is what good teaching/education should be: you always open a door for people who wants to learn. For the past 8 years, it proves to me this is a good school. Ms Jess is professional and she’s willing to offer flexibility and tailor the way for teaching different young dancers. By the way, the girls and parents there are also very nice.

Took my kids here and they absolutely loved it, teachers where great and the concert was a blast, cant wait to go back:)

My child has been coming here for a while and creations studio of dance have always been very professional and knowledgeable in what they teach. My child has benefited greatly. Highly recommend

Whilst our daughter would have preferred our usual face to face lessons (oh boy! How the kids really miss this) however given the current climate, Creations and indeed its star Jess has gone above and beyond to make their 'virtual' lessons an absolute treat. In fact, my husband and i feel that our daughter has really come out of her shell and for that Jess we are truly grateful. You're a real gem with dare i say, lots and lots of patience. Unprofessional Not dancers at all, we understand that after we left them and tried different School its Huge Difference don't read the fake reviews they wrote it to them self also they are shifting can't believe that they tring to tell me my daughter is great and hear from 2 different parents that the teacher talking bad about my daughter (if you guys try make other parents happy with you, you don't need to tell them you are the best and the other is not your favourite! That's kids ways children style
always ask for cash! Not sure what sort of business is that?

We are now into our third year at CSOD and have really enjoyed our time with the Studio. We have seen our daughter grow in confidence, skill, and technique over the years as her passion and enthusiasm grows for dance in this nurturing environment. There is a sense of community, connectivity and family within the studio and we love the personal attention, genuine care and empathetic support shown to our daughter. In her words, the studio is “Amazing! ” – and I agree.

Both my son and daughter dance here. Whilst their technical and performance abilities are at either end of the scale. They are both supported and encouraged to develop, enjoy and improve themselves.

A dance school where the teachers really do care about each child and focus on technique. Very friendly.

Amazing my daughter is so shy and this school is amazing really got her out there and on stage, so amazing how they got my daughter to get out there. Thank you guys so much xox

It’s more of what my daughter have experienced for the past years. This is her third year and she is loving it. It’s more of the trust she has to the people around her in this school.from the teachers to the students. My daughter gets the support she needs to learn more about the art of dancing.

My daughters absolutely love dancing here - the teachers are brilliant, professional, caring, and compassionate. We looked for a studio that taught great technique and so glad we found CSOD after moving to the west as their attention to technique dancing is high quality.

We joined the CSOD in 2016. We find the studio very welcoming and have enjoyed seeing our girl learn so much! Our experience has been a great one and would recommend the studio where you feel like part of a family

My daugher has been dancing here for 4 years and absolutely loves it. She has learnt so much from these talented teachers.

Teachers are Passionate & Knowledgeable.have been with school for 7 years so far. Thank you to Mrs Jessika been such an inspiration to my daughter.

Do your research first! Heres why we left!
1. So much more expensive than other dance schoolsmin the area
2. The teachers, while very knowledgable, are horrible to the children
3. The have their own "professional seamstress" who accepts CASH ONLY and her costumes are VERY EXPENSIVE! We had tutus that were NOT FINISHED by the concert, and our girl had to dance in a hired costume, yet we DID NOT GET A REFUND FOR THE $220 TUTU! We were told they would just use it the following year! What sort of business is that? A dodgy one!
4. The studio is freezing cold in winter, which the girls can deal with, but there is no air con in summer! If its 35 outside its at least 45 in there.
5. Concert tickets are all one price, about $40. So if you are a family of 5, you will pay $40 for each parent and $40 for your 3yo and $40 for your 4yo. $160 to watch a show! Even aladdin offer child tickets!
6. They charge newcomers to do a trial! Seriously, if you want to get new kids shouldnt they be able to try one class for free to see if they like it? Like all other places do.

This studio has potential but they are going all about it the wrong way. We are glad to be out!
