Craypot Bistro / Port Campbell Hotel reviews
8 I'm calling it. This is the best hotel / pub I've eaten at in Victoria in 30 years!
Food is fresh, tasty, clean, not processed. The whole restaurant is beautiful. Food comes quick, easy to order, staff is great.
I may be so bold to say this may be the best hotel to eat at in Victoria.
Thank you
Decent place for food. No complaints. Tons of seating, which is great. Ordered a pull beef special, it was bland. Needed to add the most salt I've ever added to a restaurant dish in my life. Like ever. And it's cooking in flavour usually. It was pricey for what I got. And this was felt across our table. One dish of seven was exceptional. Rest were mid.
Staff are friendly, super chill and chatty if ya want them to be.
I would come back but I think I'd choose something simpler that I could expect a wee bland.
I'd be back, but with set expectations.
Got the porterhouse steak done medium.came after about 40 minutes - we were the only people in the pub.it was dry and completely cooked.if that was the medium, i can imagine how the well done would have been.the pepper sauce was fantastic however, just wish the steak could match.
Good was excellent and it was quick. I hated smelling incense burning while we were at an eating establishment. Definitely worth the recommendation from our accommodation. Lord Ard Motor Inn
Fantastic place that we keep coming back too. Amazing food, great friendly service and lots of seating options for different sized groups.
To start with we saw the waitress pick up a plate of garlic bread from the servery and drop 1 piece of bread on the floor, she the returned it to the servers and told the chef with the beanie on and he put the slice back on the plate and told her to serve it to the customer.
Then we had ordered entree and main and it all came out together, even thou we had specified that we wanted the entrees first.
Our medium rare steaks were taken back and obviously put in a warmer so when they came out they were well done, dry and the gravy was crusted over.
Not a great experience
Such a charming little place! On a soaking wet day, was a great retreat for beers, delicious Parma, music and a fire place. Staff had character and were really nice
