Cravin' Crepes Edgewater reviews
45 The salads were far from acceptable for any cafe or restaurant. The beetroot was canned. The feta was off. When I provided feedback I was met with doubt. Very disappointed indeed.
Great views of the water. Water a shame about the staff and food.
Staff (one lady in particular) rude and very slow. Seemed annoyed if you asked for anything. Crepes were nice enough but not amazing. Underwhelming.
This is a horrible place and the service is not good and on the hottest days in summer the air conditioning apparently does not work. Definitely do not go to this place because it is not good.
Was hoping for such a nice experience since the reviews seemed mostly positive! Unfortunately I was quite disappointed by the service and food. We came at a quiet time of day (2-3 other tables with only coffees) and waited 40 minutes for crepes that I’m sad to say were quite mediocre.
The veg out seemed to me like a handful of vegetables pulled out of a jar and put inside a crepe. No interesting or thoughtful additions, just loose vegetables. It was bland and awkward to eat.
The staff seemed unenthused about the workplace, some of them were slow and unfriendly. The lady who served us at the counter was kind and sweet however didn’t seem to know the menu well, she looked at me like she had no idea what ‘veg out’ meant, asking me to point it out on the menu.
Overall the view is nice when you sit outside and the cafe is clean and tidy inside but the food and service were unfortunately disappointing. The branding design could definitely use an update!
Been here a few times now and while the food is good, it's not exactly great. Very minimal topping inside the crepe so it feels a bit overpriced.
On busy days, it seems they get a bit overwhelmed and forget bits of orders or where people are seated. Also the woman who makes the crepes isn't really helpful and you end up having to ask one of the othet people working for things like napkins or cutlery.
It is still a nice place to go with family and enjoy a light snack or an icecream. Coffee is pretty good though. Quite enjoyed that and icecream serving size are quite generous.
Was the only person in the store and ordered a soy latte. Was handed a soy cappuccino and when I asked for it to be fixed the lady working there dabbed the chocolate off with a paper towel and handed me back the same coffee…… won’t be returning. Additionally the lady serving had awful customer service
Quite nice crepes and scenery but terrible service (4 young people).
38 degree heat and no air con (attending with 2 people in their seventies as part of a group!) bc they could not find the remote to turn it on. One staff member did stand on the table to try and find the manual switch but no luck. When we asked for ice cold water we were told they dont usually put water in fridge. (I'd like to suggest thay start!). Had to keep asking for them to clear things on the table. The staff then decided to have their lunch. The 4 of them sat around a table (customer table), eating a cooked lunch with knives and forks and ignoring our table (the only customers). Later when we suggested that we found it intresting that they were all eating instead of serving we were told they do not offer service at the table (at least take the dishes away though so we have room to eat your food!) and they have a right to breaks. I replied of course, but how about taking it in turns instead of all 4 at once. Another stated this was in fact not their lunch but their breakfast bc they had been so busy in the morning (which I doubt). Good to know these staff members come to work for the free breakfast and lunch rather than customer service. I'll never go there again.
I normally quite like this place but was disappointed with the customer service today…one of the staff members was lovely and took my order, but when I went to pay (I had my dog with me), I was told quite rudely by another staff member that ‘dogs are not allowed’ even though it was literally for two seconds and I didn’t know how else I could have paid. I immediately apologised but the staff member just stared me down. This place isn’t dog friendly I guess ️
The food itself was quite decent, but more than over-shadowed by the abysmal customer service by the staff! For starters, It was a 37 deg on Saturday, and the staff couldn't even find the remote control for the air con, and didn't know how to turn it on manually! How does this happen?
We were the only customers in the restaurant, (not surprising) but the staff (who were young and clearly have no customer service skills) were more interested in chatting amongst themselves, and eating their own lunch, rather than looking their customers. They in fact looked annoyed when we approached them. Unbelievable!
And to top it all off, when a couple of our group gave them direct customer feedback, they became defensive and argumentative! No apologies at all. Needless to say, never again!
Unfortunately the worse crepes I've had. Dry crepe apples just had cinnamon on them no stewing or sweetness at all. Not even a serve of ice cream
Coffee was good but bitter taste when you pay for smthng you don't end up eating
Our first visit and we were blown away by the service and the outstanding quality of crepes. Tasty coffee and teas…. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique experience.
Bitterly disappointed with the dramatic fall in quality after the management changeover. I used to come here before and during covid. Food was ok but this time "cheesy chook" was absolutely shocking.tasteless, stale, cold.
Had an hour to kill before a job, came across this place decided to give it a go I went with a strawberry/banana Nutella crepe. They asked if I wanted ice cream. I declined.
The crepe was delivered over to my table within a few minutes, it was delicious! (Might have been better with ice cream lol)
Wait staff were lovely.
Great little place definitely stop by.
Crapes were delicious but service was very slow considering there wasn't a lot of customers.
I love the crepes as I have a sweet tooth, but the staff aren’t friendly at all. I’ve been coming here on occasion for a few years and the staff have never been warm or welcoming. One young staff member actually gave me a very rude stare not too long ago. I don’t know why, all I did was ask for a coffee and a cookie. Employing decent people will make me want to come back.
Crepes were horrible it was swimming in oil and only a scratching of filling. Will not be going back.
Great food but you need to work on the service. Wrong order and had to ask twice for one item ended up asking for it as take away. Crepes are really good though so much variations to choose from.
I ordered for a veg out crepe and my husband ordered for Poco loco (minced beef). I was surprised to find my crepe swimming in oil and it was way too oily to eat. The crepe is supposed to be stuffed with zucchini, mushroom, pumpkin etc. However I think the chef had no clue how to cook this one and tipped over an entire can of sun dried tomatoes along with oil into the crepe. With current oil prices, this one should have been the most expensive crepe on earth. However my husband's crepe wasn't too bad.
Since I was not happy with my savoury crepe, we decided to end the night by ordering for a sweet crepe (dark choc with fresh strawberries). This turned out to be really good.
Hence I suggest everyone to try their sweet crepe as I think that's their expertise, savoury crepe not so much.
If its Crepes you Crave, then this is the place for you, as Cravin Crepes offer a range of Crepes to cater for all tastes.
A good family friendly place, situated in the Heart of Edgewater.
If you are looking for a takeaway coffee before your walk around, add at least 20 mins to your schedule, the waiting time is insane!
