Crank Handle Brewery reviews
32Beer quality is fantastic and I struggled to find something I didn't love. The hefewiezen and Belgian tripel are some standout beers. Food quality I have to judge purely from the curly fries, but this place nailed crunchy, delicious and perfectly seasoned fries. Friendly staff and a great experience.
Great brewery and selection of beers. Outdoor setup is nice and welcoming. We took some cans back home to Melbourne for friends who were also really impressed!
Look forward to returning
Great place to spend the afternoon trying all their amazing beer. Even better when paired with some curly fries. Highly recommend
Awesome atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. Small selection of extremely palatable beers. Got "stuck" in there twice over the weekend.
Great little brewery, beers tasted great, mini sliders amazing. Must visit when in Tawonga.
Awesome beers. Didn’t order the food but had FOMO as it looked epic. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
Perfect place to stop for a light meal and beverage before heading off to Falls Creek. Great place for family and friends.
Warm welcoming and excellent service. Food is delicious- especially the cauliflower tacos and sliders!
Definitely will be back!
Food and beer of the highest standard.
I had a paddle with tasters of six beers. They were all excellent. A really interesting range of beers with distinctive character.
My favourite was the bitter, but they were all good.
Hopefully next time I come the porter will be on.
Great food, drinks and service! Tried the Mini sliders they were delicious and on another visit shared the Mliawa cheese platter with family. I don’t often drink beer had the Pale Ale really liked it!
Small family brewery doing some great beers brewed by two brothers. I enjoyed the lagers most. The Pilsner and the dark lager were both fantastic although I also really enjoyed the xpa. Super friendly staff. We had the nachos which were excellent. Thanks
Brutally good beer and great staff who are happy to share their beer story.
The Bogong Bitter is amazing and the best ESB beer in the state in my opinion. Do yourself a favour, particularly if you enjoy English beers!
Fabulous local family run brewery. Great beer, great food, great atmosphere. Well worth the drive. Will definitely be back.
We weren’t going to get anything to eat but the food looked so tasty so we ordered some Tacos + Sliders and it did not disappoint sooo yum! The team were lovely to.
Stopped for a quick Friday knock off beer. Best decision I'd made all day. Friendly staff, good beer!
New owners September 2021, Very welcoming, great atmosphere, food and beer is amazing! New flavors of beer also brewing. Great place to stop when in Mt beauty!
Great flavours of beers. We went their post covid lockdown. Unexpectedly it got super busy. The staff handled it like pro.
A must visit if you are around.
Enjoyed the ESB. The beers were good but nothing spectacular. They need a little more variety. The place itself has friendly staff but feels rather sterile inside
Beer Nachos - not enough 1 order for me. Ordered 2. The best nachos I've ever had. Alpine beer? - 2 as well. Awesome beer, the best nachos + lovely weather.
We had a fantastic morning at Crankhandle. Cant wait till were able to buy slabs to take home. The tasting paddle was a complete success in my tastebuds. Everybody that loves craft beers should do their best to promote these guys and girls to better things. Their beers were fine (to my taste) and the food was basic but enjoyable. The staff and family could not be faulted. Loved talking to the son (sorry mate, i cant remember your name) but he was very informative and friendly. The 3 of us had a wonderful experience at your brewery. Bring the canning or bottling on so I can order some slabs.xxx
Had lunch here with a mate on the weekend, a charming little micro- brewery in the main st of Towonga South, tried their beer sample paddle of 7 different beers ranging from Pilsner through to bitter through to porter beer, well brewed and very enjoyable. A small selection of food available on a simple lunch menu but the owner mentioned they were planning to expand their menu soon. What we had was very nice and well thought out, full compliments to the chef, didn't have to wait too long either. Enjoyed checking out the brewing vats and equipment at the back of the premises while we had our lunch.
A great place to visit, will be back again
