Cowes Curry Club - Indian Restaurant reviews
31Takeaway dinner way too expensive, inconsistent meat potions, not much meat, basically got liquid for dinner
Curry’s tastes a bit weird, quite sour than they usually are. Curries are not authentic or even in the one we normally have in good Melbourne restaurants. Its the only Indian restaurant in Philip Island that i was able to find, so tried. Didn’t like it. Wont recommend.
Cowes curry club is a great Indian-restaurant, I ordered the chicken biriani, and it was amazing! Staff are nice, there patient, great atmosphere! Totally recommend this place
Went for dinner last night called them before going who ever answered the phone was very rude but we went ahead because my wife was wanting to have vegetarian. The food was surprisingly good but the service was really pathetic I think the waitress who served us needs more training on politeness overall good food good atmosphere but the service was pathetic.
The food is amazing here. I’m a huge fan of Indian food and this is up there with some of the best Indian cuisine I have eaten!
The staff are so welcoming and friendly it’s just the perfect place to go for dinner
Had came for Dinner with my friends. LOVELY place for couples to have dinner.the foods were delicious and the owner and the staffs were very friendly. Highly recommended.
Excellent food, friendly staff.
We had the chicken tikka masala and chicken madras. Spice level was good not bland.
Definitely will be back.
Amazing food! The smell hits you as soon as you walk in. Very authentic, good portions and such friendly service. Definitely coming back.
I meant to take a picture of our beautiful meal but I was too busy inhaling every perfectly seasoned bite. Didn't expect to find this gem in Cowes. I'll be back for sure. Also, the server offering to rock our infant so I could eat was simply above and beyond service. Made our night.
Delicious food and outstanding service. Would highly recommend it, perfect ambient and family friendly.
Took a takeaway from this place considering all the great reviews. Chicken biryani is 2/5. Tikka masala is like any other butter chicken sauce 1.5/5, Rogan Josh tastes pathetic - 1/5. Madras chicken (3/5) is the only decent dish where you can find some flavour of curry leaf. Garlic naans (3/5) are good. We requested extra spice, but every dish turned out bland. Service is quick and the seating looks decent. Not a place if you are looking for something to leave a lingering taste in your mouth.
Coming from Sydney, this is hands down the best indian I've had in Australia. The food was absolutely delicious! So many intricate flavours and the right amount of spice, the staff were on point and super friendly. This really is such a great place considering its right on a car park. If it was near my house, it would absolutely become my regular 'go to' restaurant for a meal out or takeaway!
100% satisfied. Well done.
Had a delicious palak paneer, fish bites, garlic naan and mango lassi. Excellent service and value. Added feel good is that this restaurant is very community minded and generously gave free meals to those in need during Covid.
Awesome food! I came with my family while visiting Philip Island. Best Indian food in Melbourne. Good costumer service. Will visit next time.
We ordered Dal tadka, Malai kofta, chicken saagwaala, chicken tikka masala. We requested to make Indian style but all 4 of the food Items were very sweet and daal was quite undercooked. I dont recommend indian food from this place.
I have visited many Indian restaurants in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisban, Hobart and even in Saudi Arabia. I can say this restaurant is the best I have eaten in
The manager, who turned to be the chef as well as the owner, is very friendly amd always checks on his customers satisfaction
I can't wait when I am bacl visiting Phillip Island to go again
I was chillin like a villain havin a bevy with the boys and discussing the intricacies of pants when I thought it was about time we should rustle up some grub after all it was nearing 9 o clock on a balmy summer night. So I whipped out the old phonicle and dialled the nearest curry joint to satisfy an insatiable hankering. Little did I know I was in for a scrotacular meal that would blow my socks off like a one legged lesbian doing cartwheels on a unicycle. The meal was fully fantastic the best tasting thing on the whole island and I smashed it so quickly I forgot to take the obligatory photo. From the chicken to the lamb to the garlic naan, even the pappadums, it was all full of mouth watering goodness. My only small gripe is that I wanted the vindaloo spicy because I was looking to get full anus’d on that but it’s probably my fault because I should have specified I want Indian hot rather than white boy hot. Thank you curry club may we meet again.
Excellent service, fresh and delicious food, totally recommend it, especially the Dal Makhani!
Went for dine in here… Tasty food and very friendly staff… Thanks for giving us good service. Won’t think twice to come again.
If you’re after great Indian food you must eat here. When we walked into the restaurant and saw lots of Indian people eating we knew the food would be good and it was. We had a chicken cooked in saag, a black lentil dish, kashmiri and coconut rice.
Everything was delicious.
The range of vegetarian dishes was very extensive.
This is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants we have eaten in.
The staff were all polite and attentive too.
We highly recommend this place
