County Court of Victoria

COMPLETED JURY SERVICE HERE RECENTLY - VERY IMPRESSED
I spent a week at the County Court doing jury service. It was my first jury service and I was anticipating a bureaucratic and unfriendly experience but was really pleasantly surprised at the professionalism of court staff, attention to COVID prevention and the facilities within the court building.
Juries Victoria looked after us (jurors) very well - even feeding us on the deliberation days:)
Tea, coffee and biscuits always available and the ground floor lobby has lots of comfortable seating plus areas to work on a laptop.

This was a mall with character with those amazing Greg Irvine sculpture artworks. Now ripped out for no reason.

Now quite a boring experience

The owner lacks vision and an understanding of anything local. Disappointed.

What can I say about the County Court, well its a lot more upper class than Frankston's Court house when you got eshay's beggin for a spare ciggy and they got you on flick. The staff are very lovely and welcoming to make you feel at home. A place I highly regard as professional. Would do court here again.

They're taking Covid seriously, for which I'm very grateful. In spite of all the extra work this must cause everyone - without exeption - was calm, polite & extremely helpful. Thankyou Rebecca, Rachel, Jenny, Paul, Alice & all security staff. Well done!

The security people's and cameras every helped when I had to leave 2 electric scooter s worth $2000 out the front in public area for 3 hrs and nobody stole them, safe place.

The County Court has original jurisdiction in all civil cases and criminal cases, except a small number of charges such as treason and murder.

No real Justice in this County Court too, just like the magistrates Court, even though I had all the evidences in the world and I still couldn't recover even just 80 percent of the money that was stolen from me and owed to me by the defendant. 1 star is even too generous as I've been let down in a very big way by the justice system in this so called great country.

They do not clear the mention court rooms quick enough. It was packed. Staff happy to help though

Courts court- if i get caught i get sent to court lol judges firm but fair in my cases-registry ppl were very helpful as i knew nothing how procedures go and my option available -security were there one time when one summer day nearly took me down to emergency, staff noticed me and quickly came to my medical attention and words of emotion comfort i was able to continue that day without any further attention -plus the cops won day fraud case y i was distressed of cop-corruptions

It's a good design and construction but just don't like what is really going on in there! It's not my cup of tea!

Been here as a customer and seating in this court was good the security staff where very nice as for some the case I went in to was really good to learn about the law and how it works

I deserve justice for my pain and sufferings. But I didn't get justice expect teasing for being a injured worker bullied victim by treaters, lawyers, employer.

Seen a criminal given a speech and a half by a judge finally one standing up for victims all over. The laws still need to change to protect but thank you for bringing reality back to a family when all seemed lost.
