Cottage by the Sea reviews
26Went there as i child i didnt stay long as i got sick and sent home but my sisters and brothers stayed and loved it i would so love to go and have a walk through for old time sakes i can remember going down to the beach and we used to look for mermaid necklaces that was many many yrs ago i am 65 now
My son just went and the photos look like he had heaps of fun. Thank you to everyone involved.
I’m staying here at the moment. And in my room there is ants everywhere and even in the kitchen. They have been her before we arrived and it seems it has been a problem for a bit because we arrived to a lot of dead ants on the kitchen bench.
I went there with my class last year and it was so so so so fun we went there for 4 days and 3 nights. The foods they were okay but i love the desserts they were so delicious, the beach, playground and lots of activities. I wish i could go there again! Thanks Cottage By The Sea for giving me the good time
Stayed there with outdoors inc great place to stay and the staff from outdoors inc are great bunch of people
The property may have had a change of look and run by different people BUT you can't dismiss the past of what happened in that place.
I can tell you right now, the media would have a ball if they saw what I did in the mid 90s
A nice place for surfers, swimmers and divers depend on the weather. There is a good reef to dive at, however check the current, wind and tides since the current can be strong. Carry a buoy while diving since boat traffic exists.there is stair access to the beach so if you have gear and equipment be ready for a nice warm up.
Stayed here for the weekend was so nice and peace didn't want to leave loved every minute of it would do it again anytime
The mist amazing place helping young people overcoming disadvantage and a variety of other difficulties. Well worth visiting and donating to.
This reef is beautiful! The current is strong most of the time but in slack water you cant beat it this side of the bay, and its not marine park so bring your rod or speargun! Giant stingrays, salmon, leatherjackets, cuttlefish, banjo sharks, seahorses etc all plentiful with great reef structure and swim throughs. Depth ranges from 1-2 metres all the way up to around 9 metres. Bring on some warmer water!

Dived the reef below the Cottage by the Sea, brilliant colour, loads of Port Phillip favourites, many overhangs all at 7m - need to be very careful of tide and weather
Cottage By The Sea, thank you for your kind words, it was a pleasure to assist you. And I continue to assist those less fortunate.
Went to the annual "Cottage by the Sea" fair and it was really great. There was lots if eat their food. Huge amounts of (cheap) fresh fruit, berries and vegetables. Lots of new clothes including work gear. And plenty of collectables and second hand stuff. Great charity and happy to support them.
Cottage by the Sea is a non-government, not for profit registered charity that provides inspiration, fun and opportunity for disadvantaged young people in a positive, healthy, seaside environment. The charities vision is that every child deserves a happy and healthy childhood. The existing building was completed in 1938; however the charity at this location has served children since 1890.
They have a great fete there yearly. Plenty of bargains and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. The Devonshire teas are very yummy.
It used to be s place for children who were ill a lot of the time, to give their parents a break
I met Lady and Sir Rowen Delecombe there one year. Snd I went their several times when I was a kid, I remember the huge bath that you climbed wooden steps and shared with others. The huge dormitory, the play room and rocking horse. Yes and being stripped off communally. Walks to the beach. Being a table mother. That was 52 years ago now or more
I also recall the head ladies office and the size of the lolly jar with boiled lollies
A beautiful massive buolding
