Coral Lee reviews
40Anzac Day visit to bright and had brekky here. Lady with pigtail behind the counter was quite rude telling customers bluntly to close the door. Even though it was quiet she rudely told a customer waiting for takeaway coffee twice to wait outside. Poor show ‘Coral Lee’.
Simple menu but all home made and seriously good food. Try the savoury walnut tart! Really good coffee too. A bit tucked away, but worth searching out.
Good coffee & muffins! Nice to sit outside and have a coffee & warm muffin & watch the world go by.
Without doubt the BEST smashed avo, bacon and poached egg with feta I have ever eaten. So much flavour. And the homemade sausage roll was huge! Amazing taste. Highly recommend this place. Friendly owners too
Their avo on toast comes with bacon and eggs, which I did not want. So still got charged the full $23 for a little avo on sourdough. Tasted good, but sooooooo overpriced once the bacon and eggs were removed.
The trouble with tourist towns is that even if you run a sub par cafe with poor attitudes and service, the business will survive based on the visitors who cannot get a table or takeaway at one of the more popular spots. A few locals have mentioned to me 'If you know them, they're alright'. So. If you don't know them, don't expect what you might from anywhere else because based on their rude and dismissive staff, they clearly don't need tourist business. Go literally anywhere else.
Lovely cafe in bright open early with a great good morning welcome. With a barista making coffees like a warrior goddess! Came here twice while on a girls trip highly recommend, all the stars
Delicious strong hot coffee and a nice warm fire. Strongly recommend. Love the retro interior. Very stylish and cool.
I ordered a small latte and a large tea which came to $10. It said on the wall that a TA coffee is $4.50 so I’m not sure how you can charge $6.50 for a tea bag and a dash of milk. Once I actually had the tea it was evident that it was very watery and had hardly been steeped. I did respond to have the tea bag removed when asked if it should be left in, but I expect it to be properly steeped for the right amount of time rather than just taking it out once the coffee was ready. Tea only needs about 3-4 minutes to be done correctly.
Came here during the holiday season- it was very homey ambiance with classic breakfast/ lunch/ sweet offerings. The seatings were not many but with country style. At that time my partner had pie with warm vegetables which was really nicely made with love and care.
Walked into this establishment as it was the only one open early morning.
Food was good and place was cozy (quite dirty) However any racist remarks it’s definitely no for me.
Im from ethnic background and so are my friends and the attention we revived was absolutely despicable more in comparison with the treatment the service was giving to white people.
Our orders where questioned in a sarcastic way and we were treated with extreme racism.
Unfortunately I will not recommend this place.
Not friendly staff as we were waiting outside the cafe for them to open and was made to feel we were in their way. Cafe didn't look clean anyway so glad we didn't experience their food or coffee
Friendly cosy place.lovely hearty food options.we enjoyed our coffee and breakfast here thanks team
Excellent local produce, great menu. Small place but worth the wait. Fresh juices and good coffee too.
Had lunch here and enjoyed the food and the coffee, quirky decor put a smile on my face. Definitely Worth a stop.
They open early, I visited twice. The coffee was great, the brekky choices, maybe a tiny bit limited, were also excellent - hotcakes where great, and the apricot porridge was the best I think I've ever had. Sit inside if you can, the footpath seats are just a little too 'road immersive'
Just popped in for a quick take away coffee. The lady making the coffee happily used my reusable cup and she made a lovely soy cappuccino X 2!
Cute little spot! Love the old interior.
Really, very plain and average food. Nothing special.
Very stingy servings. For the price and quality you’re better off making it yourself at home.
Coffee was good though and the staff weren’t unfriendly.
Food and coffee was great. Just need to work on the person skills in talking to customers and standards with Covid for locals were different to us being tourists.need your tourists.
