Cooroona Alpine Lodge

Great place to stay for a family ski trip. Room was warm and comfortable, good breakfasts (but don’t be late!). Service with pick up and drop off made moving in and out a breeze.

The manager (lucky) is so rude. Rooms are so small. Paid $1277 for one room. Owner misbehaved on phone and then when we checked in he stole our personal belongings. Asked us to leave the hotel at night with baby during snow. Won’t recommend at all.

Booked room with this hotel. Absolutely trast behaviour from Staff especially from guy named Lucky. Waited more than 45 minutes in Snow for hotel transfer. He didn’t came till we called many times. We had the worst time in hotel. He spoiled our money and mood. Don’t visit if you going for good time.

Worst customer service attitude ever met in my life. Showing no empathy or heart to family travelers:
a. There was communication confusion about how many people can live in the room (which I was also parially responsible by not checking the message on time). To sum it up: the maximum allowed for the room is 5 guests, we have 6 in total including my two kids (5 year&7year).
b. The owner was not willing for us to pay extra for one additional guest in the room (4 beds), also refused to help us find another room to accomodate our stay. I did not find another accomodation either on the day, therefore I decided to live in my car by myself.c. Around 8pm 2 August, I wanted to go to the room for picking up my laptop in the room, the owner refused my access to the room and made it clear that I can not access the room, if I wanted to pick up something, I have to ask my wife to do it for me, otherwise police will be called.d. As the person made the booking, I do believe myself having the right to enter the property to pick up my own belonings and therefore I entered the room, the owner called the police.e. After picking up my laptop, I came back to the lobby straight away and asked the owner if you want me to wait for the police in the lobby or outside (my daugher followed me and not wanted me to leave, while crying), the owner asked me to go outside and wait. I asked my wife to take my daughter back to the room then waited outside.f. I waited outside for the police to come (temperature was around 4 degree) and later my wife came out told me that the police won't come, but the owner said everytime I enter the property, he will call the police.g. I went back to my car and stayed whole night there, and second morning before 8am we checked out.

Excellent service and homely feel with not too many rooms and breakfast inclusion. Pickup & drop off by lodge manager made things easy to get to lodge and back down to ATS. Convenient drying rooms and ski in ski out (whilst snow on roads). They made excellent cocktails as well! Top shelf spirits. Rooms were basic but we had TV and private ensuite. It was surprisingly quiet during the night so slept well. They have Mexican menu at night so can eat in after long day on slopes. Didn’t use sauna but saw plenty people going in there.

From the moment we stepped into Cooroona Alpine Lodge Restaurant and Bar, we felt the warm and welcoming atmosphere that truly sets it apart. The staff was fantastic - their attentiveness and genuine care stood out during our week at Falls Creek.

Our visit was made even more special as we were celebrating our daughter's birthday. The lodge went out of their way to create an amazing birthday cake for our daughter that not only looked spectacular but also tasted sensational. This thoughtful gesture added a personal touch which typically cannot be found at other establishments.

The experience exceeded our expectations in every way. From attentive staff, impeccable services, delicious Mexican food to the little details such as the special birthday cake, we were taken aback by their dedication and commitment to providing the best.

To anyone considering a stay at Falls Creek, do not hesitate to book at Cooroona Alpine Lodge restaurant and Bar This special place provides an experience that is far beyond. It is a place where memories are made, and we can't wait to go back.

We had the the most enjoyable stay at Cooroona Alpine Lodge. Lachie and Amy are great hosts and, along with the staff made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend Cooroona as a choice to stay when visiting Falls Creek.

I had a great stay with Lachie and Amy at falls creek! Nothing was too much trouble. Having the pick up and not having to use the oversnow was amazing! Rooms are comfortable and the renovated bathrooms functioned well. Having breakfast included was good and the food was amazing. Can’t recommend enough.

Lachie and his crew are sensational hosts and it’s a great lodge. Very welcoming and the food is excellent and hearty perfect after a day on the slopes. The renovated room are particularly lovely.

We have stayed 3 times at the cooroona lodge in the past 2 years at falls creek and could not be happier with our time there. Lachie and Amy go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful.
Stayed in the superior room was great to have our own bathroom which is unusual at ski lodges.
The breakfasts were excellent with continental and cooked breakfast available. We cancelled our dinner booking and ate at the lodge 3 nights in a row. Excellent quality food, generous proportions and very well priced. Great to have a bar and lounge area. We loved sitting next to the fire.
Not having to take the oversnow was a real plus.
Great value for money. Can’t wait to see you again this year.
