Coonawarra Farm Resort reviews
21 Visited twice with a large family group. Love this place and will definitely visit a few more times.
This place has enough activities to cater to all age groups and keep them busy for 4 to 5 days. Lake and swimming pool were major attractions as we visited in summer. Other outdoor and indoor activities are also great.
Staff is super friendly. Rooms have ensuites so each family can have privacy. Beds are not luxurious but good enough for a camp. We cooked our own food.
It was just trash. There was hair and dirt in the cordial. Water also tasted like horse wee. The staff was very rude and obnoxious. I wanted to die instead of staying here, the food was like it was from the fresh compost bin mixed with horse poo.
The worst thing about this place was probably the cabins, went there about a year ago, and the mattresses were extremely thin.
Food was… ok. It could have been worse I guess.
The environment was nice, probably the best thing about the place.
What an awesome place so many activities for adults and kids to enjoy. A really well run camp and fantastic staff, food and accommodation. The scenery is spectacular.
I went there for school camp (5 days). The showers were okay, it took about 10-20 seconds for the water to heat up, and it was a bit sandy from people who had previously used it. Other than that, me and my friends liked the cabins a lot. I wish we had more cabin time!
Been there with a group of 140+ last December. Ample space for kids for activities. Commercial kitchen, good accomadation and lake with a view! Louis and his team is very helpful and friendly with getting the stay organized. Specially with a large group it's great to have this helpful staff. Great place away from hustle and bustle of the city.
Amazing camp experience. We went there last week along with 12 families. It was so nice that the three days were too short to enjoy the camp completely. The management people are also nice and polite. The canoeing experience was superb. No words. I still miss the camp days. You would definitely enjoy it!
Guest wifi was not given, and there was no service. Though aside from summer things, the activities were pretty good. The pool was unclean and the room beds were uncomfortable. You could feel the springs through it. I'm not sure if that is for all the beds though.
I went for school camp in grade 3 and next week i'm going from Wednesday to Friday for my 3-6 school camp.
The people were lovely, I went there for camp and it was definitely a fun experience. Sleeping in a tent for a night was fun because the tents the Coonawarra staff handed out were amazing and kept us cozy and dry. The water was different then what I’m used to but overall the food and drinks were pretty good. The whole camp was so cool. Especially the cabins near the stream
Brilliant place to get together, relax, complete craft activities, have a great time, excellent food
Nice place to live, enjoy and weekend getaway. Bush walk, wood hut, winter fire, different animals, horse riding, zip line, boating, archery, maze and many more activities. Awesome place and great for school camping.
What a fantastic camp experience. The kids had a ball and it was run smoothly and professionally.
Coonawarra had great food and clean cabins but dirty water and bad showers other than that the activities were great tennis and basket ball court was great
Absolutely beautiful.a great place to enjoy a break with families and a great place for kids. No cell phone reception but thats a plus point:).
Great and friendly staff too.
Do remember to carry water because the water tastes funny and everyone might not like it.
The activities were great and lots of fun but the water is dirty. The food was really tasty, the meals are: breakfast (at 8: 00), morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner followed with dessert. The flying fox was 30 meters over the lake so it was wonderful looking right above the lake, (it felt like flying). The ‘ furniture was way more rusty than the photos. The cabins were disappointing. But overall I loved it!
I put a pea under 7 of their mattresses. I ain't no princess so instead of feeling the pea, I feel off and broke my toe. Thanks for for the band-aid
I had jells park primary school camp here and it was really fun, i just came back. Awesome camp!
It was good for a camp but horrible reception literally someone could kill someone and you wouldn't be able to call the police
It was a lovely school camp destination! Lots of fun activities to keep you busy throughout the day. My personal favorite was the three hundred meters flying fox over the lake. There were horses an opportunity to go riding, canoes, a giant swing, hut building and damper making, a high ropes course, orienteering, a team rescue, initiatives course and many more fun activities and places to explore. My cabin was nice and cozy too! Staff were friendly and very helpful people. The food was ok. We had a bit of a mix and some meals were definitely better than others, I loved most of it none were bad just not as amazing as the rest. In the shower, the water was cold and the water pressure wasn't great but it was manageable. The water tasted strange and half the time when you turned on the tap it was brown eww! I would recommend this camp to anyone looking for a fun time or break away from daily life, you will not regret it. (I went for school camp with my school)
