Comset - Industrial 4G Routers

I have had one of the early dual CIM routers for a number of years at a country property. Connected to a rooftop YAGI antenna aimed at a Telstra tower 20km away it performed flawlessly delivering up to 16mbs, until one evening it didn't. I returned it to Comset who found and fixed the problem inside 30 minutes and no charge.

I just installed a Comset CM770 dual sim router for a client about 10 Kilometers out of Moura. The results were amazing. 126 Mbps download and 55 Mbps upload. This has made a huge improvement to the way my clients office operates. All thanks to Comset.

Just got the new. 211 firmware for the CM685V-W from Tony & Ben with has a new SMS command which allows a forced failover switch from WAN to cellular and back again. This allows remote configuration on cellular via http. Not a feature I have seen on other cellular routers. Along with the existing failover and data limitation SMS alerts, this is a great feature, which saves a lot of time travelling to manually re-configure at remote sites. Saves on unexpected cellular data bills if your WAN drops out, and you are not aware you are using cellular data on failover.
We asked for this feature to be added to the firmware and they sorted it within a week. Great customer service.

Tony and the team from Comset delivered exceptional products, with a tonne of info on how to use and set up, but the customer support I received was second to none, with instant replies to my questions, I was able to deliver my project on time and as specified. 10/10! I live in what I would call the black hole of internet and phone reception (Sydney Suburb). The best ADSL speeds that any of the major providers could give us was 2.8 MPS. With 4G bundle deals getting better I thought I would try to go wireless but with the dongle provided by phone company I still had very poor reception. After some advice from Tony at Comset I used my existing sim card and purchased one of their routers and 2 antennas and after an hour of hooking up components I am now enjoying speeds no less than 30-35MPS. Well done Comset! (Thanks for nothing Telstra, Optus, TPG).

I have been playing with the Comset modem and I am very impressed. It does everything I need and more. Having wifi built in and being able to switch the WAN port to be a second Ethernet port is very powerful.

When I was asked to setup our first Comset modem, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the device was to configure and some of the options that were available. After installing the first Comset modem in the field on a MMA Offshore vessel, I was impressed at it's reliability at managing the NextG link. Since testing these units, all the MMA Offshore vessels are now equipped with Comset modems as their primary WAN interface. They've performed admirably under all loads and still continue to impress me. Industrial design with robust performance. Great job Comset and thanks for manufacturing a quality product.
