Como Cottages Dandenong Ranges

We stayed at the Mills Cottage, it was absolutely beautiful, a step back in time. The attention to detail was amazing. Brett was an amazing host and everything we needed was there. Beautiful surroundings. The weekend was really relaxing. Would definitely stay there again, thank you:)

My husband took the initiative to plan his first family trip, which ended up being hilariously disastrous in its own way. (BY ABSOLUTELY NO FAULT OF COMO COTTAGES!)

It was one of the family trips where everything that could possible go wrong went wrong- our car broke down on arrival which needed towing, we accidentally locked ourselves out of the cottage, our cards were both not working and different points of the stay and our taxi was ridiculously late.

We were grateful to Brett who was very understanding, patient and helpful through the whole process. I think I would have had an absolute mental breakdown if he hadn’t been so kind while we were trying to organise everything. If I could give his service a 10/10, I definitely would.

As for the cottage, it’s has an old heritage charm to it. This is a great place to decompress and relax- it is not busy, it is not noisy. It is wonderfully private and somewhat secluded- yet close to shops and amenities.

Brett had taken extra efforts to ensure there were enough condiments and a fridge stocked with drinks and eggs. (We had 5 kids with us!) There was also a loaf of bread and tomatos for us to use. The rooms and bathroom was well stocked- everything was clean and it was interesting to go through the antiques and explore history- there were many things my children and I had never physically seen before.

There is a lot to do for children- our loves exploring the garden as well as playing the selection of board games. They ended up in the spa for a bath for hours. They also decided to play the piano for hours

It made us happy to see that they were so happy.

This place in the rain is absolutely magical. We woke up to the lovely sound of rain and looked out and it was nothing short of enchanting.

All in all, despite our string of bad luck, this will be a place that will hold a special place in our hearts.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The owners left plenty of food for us on arrival, which was such a nice touch. The location is great, with plenty places to visit close by.

This was the most romantic getaway Ive had in Dandenong. The cottage was cute and cozy. They had food for us and everything else was sorted. We had a good time using the bath tub and parking was great. The bed is comfortable and we had an awesome stay! Best for couples and singles who want to escape the busy life.

We stayed in the very cosy and quaint Como Cottage; a relaxing winter getaway for my husband and I. The cottage was so warm and welcoming, set in beautiful surroundings and equipped with absolutely everything you could need. It was so close (in walking distance) to the Olinda shops and restaurants. Evenings in front of the open wood fire are a must. We would highly recommend a stay at Como Cottages to anyone, and look we forward to coming back.

Will definitely be back again, stayed in the Como cottage, beautiful fire place, nice and cosy cottage to stay in!

Stayed in the 'Caretakers Cottage'
Very friendly staff, room was clean, a variety of breakfast supplies were included and it was fit for my purpose whilst staying in the area for the weekend. However, it's tiny (little more than a shed) I had to duck when entering or leaving. The bed was rock hard, might as well have slept on the floor, and the fridge was incredibly noisy at night. Frankly a little over-priced for what it is.

Stayed there for a couple of nights in the middle of winter with my other half and cant say that we liked it at all. We actually LOVED IT. The hospitality we received the warmth of the place and the comfort of it made it worth while. My partner and I will be back for sure. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants a getaway with beautiful surrounds and lovely accommodation facilities to take their partners too I could not wish for a better place to go

Very cosy and relaxing. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Host is very accommodating, the ppace is well looked after. The stone fireplace really brings the place together. Will come back

My Mum wanted some time away, so we looked into Como Cottages. There are a few different ones. Mum however stayed in Como Cottage. Just beautiful. Small and cosy. Homely, beautiful surroundings, friendly owners. This particular cottage was perfect for her.

Please be assured, any negatives reviews are either spam or simply unfair. My recent stay in the Caretakers Cottage was nothing short of exceptional. The studio cottage is fully self-contained and nestled within the beautiful rainforest gardens. The staff are genuinely kind and provide wonderful service. This is one of the best value for money properties I’ve ever stayed in. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a solo retreat. Please support this fabulous local business. You won’t be disappointed!

Loved our stay! We stayed in the "Forget-me-Not" cottage and it was adorable! Wood burning fireplace was great, bathroom is very cute, and kitchen had everything you could need. Great cabin getaway. Massages were excellent as well! Definitely recommend!

I went to Como Cottages for a short visit and ended up staying for three months! The guys here a extremely welcoming. Brett, Melinda, and Sarah laid on 5***** hospitality.
I stayed in Caretakers Cottage and then Garden Cottage, both cottages are extremely comfortable, with everything you could possibly need for your stay. They also provide a lot of extras, breakfast, fresh eggs, butter, spreads, fresh milk and bread, plus lots more.
The Garden Cottage was amazing, extra large rolltop bath, open fire for cold evenings, and an amazing deck overlooking the fantastic gardens, and still remains private.
The supermarket is super close, with a bottleshop, and some cute cafe's and restaurants within a short walk.
There are some beautiful walks all around Olinda, Mathias trail and the Botanical Gardens were my favourites.
I would highly+ recommend Como Cottages for a long or short stay.
Como Cottages are only a easy 40 minute drive from Melbourne city, and I'll be back there very soon for my next break.

Como cottage is the best! Just one thing. I didn’t like the incense but I’ve loved the music and nice atmosphere! ️️️

Totally loved my stay in their forget me not cottage.its so pampering and incredibly comfy night we spent. All in all i love their vinatge theme.the heating system is perfect and hot water facility is one of the best!

Gave a me vintage and a granny lifestye for a night.would love to try their other cottages tooo.

These cottages are the best, I've been to a fair few and never is my experience as relaxing and totally fulfilling, as it is here! This visit we stayed in The Lavender cottage, it is fully self contained with 2 separate bedrooms, upstairs is the gorgeous bathroom equipped with an endless hot water spa and downstairs, an open fire for cosy nights. I cannot recommend these cottages enough! Thanks Brett for your kindness and advance wood for us, we are truly very grateful for all you did to give us a wonderful stay! 10/10

A delightful set of cottages embellished with nostalgia ephemera nestled in a garden setting that come with a hearty country breakfast supplied. We stayed in the Lavender Cottage & enjoyed the benefits of a log fire on cold evenings. While some of the self-catering facilities of the cottages are old fashioned in their nature there was nothing lacking in the amenities available. We have visited the cottages on more than one occasion & have found them to be a good base from which to explore the region.
