Community Kids Berwick Early Education Centre

Highly recommend this centre! The staff have been amazing throughout our experience. Our kids settled into the centre easily. The educators always work hard to support the development of our kids and I couldn’t ask for anything more!

Community kids has been ABSOLUTELY AMAZING for my little one. She has been there since feb and has grown so much in her confidence and personality. Community kids has even helped peak her interests in numeracy and literacy and other things she was already learning before daycare. The educators do such an amazing job with the kids in the centre, whether it's individually or as a group. Can't thank Community kids enough! And excited to continue my little one's journey with you!

This centre has been such a wonderful and positive place for my child. Amazing and caring team members including Hayley and Jess. All the educators are fabulous keeping the kids engaged and learning. I highly recommend this centre.

I knew that I would like my kids at Community Kids Berwick the moment Hayley took me for a tour. She is an asset at CK Berwick! Great facility with friendly and caring educators who to us, have become like family. I had peace of mind that my girls will be looked after in a safe and fun environment. Although this matter has been reported and is being investigated by Department of Education, it’s important to share my experience with others.

So I am writing this review to express my utmost disappointment and share my negative experience with the centre manager Haley and area manager Rebecca at Community Kids Berwick Early Education Centre Unfortunately, my time at the center has been marked by mistreatment, unprofessional behaviour, and a lack of transparency that has left me deeply concerned for my child's well-being.

One of the most distressing aspects of my experience was the consistent dishonesty regarding the request for additional support for my child. Despite my repeated pleas for assistance, Haley and area manager blatantly lied about submitting these requests, leaving my child without the necessary support for almost a year. This lack of accountability and transparency is highly unprofessional and has shattered my trust in the center's commitment to providing adequate care.

Furthermore, I was shocked and appalled to discover that staff and area manager attempted to diagnose my child with a disability without any qualifications or expertise. This irresponsible behaviour not only crosses ethical boundaries but also raises serious concerns about their competence and professionalism. Proper diagnosis should only be conducted by qualified medical professionals, and it is unacceptable for childcare staff to assume such a role without the necessary qualifications.

During a meeting with the staff and area manager, I was subjected to inappropriate comments that were disrespectful and offensive. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable and reflects a severe lack of professionalism and empathy. It is disheartening to witness such disregard for the emotional well-being of both children and their families.

To my shock, my child's enrollment was abruptly suspended without any prior notice following an incident involving an educator at the center. The lack of communication and disregard for proper protocols in handling this situation is deeply concerning. It demonstrates a lack of consideration for the well-being and stability of the children and their families.

Throughout my child's time at the center, I received no email updates or progress reports about his development and activities. Effective communication is crucial in fostering a strong partnership between parents and the childcare center. The complete lack of communication is not only frustrating but also reflects a lack of commitment to keeping parents informed and involved. Verbal communication is not an acceptable method for communication.

Additionally, the staff consistently placed blame solely on my child for any misbehavior or wrongdoing without acknowledging their own role and responsibility in the situation. This kind of behaviour is unfair and demonstrates a lack of accountability and professionalism. Moreover, they even went as far as forcing my child to do things against his will, only to deny any wrongdoing when confronted. This level of deceit is deeply concerning and raises serious questions about the integrity of the staff and management.

Based on my experiences, I cannot recommend this place to other parents. The mistreatment, dishonesty, lack of communication, and unprofessional behavior exhibited by the staff and area manager have created an unsafe and unreliable environment for children. I strongly believe that the positive reviews they have received are fake, as my firsthand experience contradicts the positive claims made by others.

It is essential to find a childcare center that upholds professionalism, transparency, and genuine care for the well-being of all children.

I can’t even begin to describe how perfect This Centre has been for our daughter. From the moment she walked in at 18 months old to the day she started school, we have been treated with respect and love. My daughter was always happy to be there and every teacher she interacted with took great care of her every need. She was well prepared for school, was taught how to make friends and to regulate her emotions. The staff were always approachable, and were understanding with her anxiety, ensuring she felt safe and heard. I’m tempted to have another baby just so that we can continue the relationship with this team!

CK Berwick is an amazing childcare! Management and all educators are always friendly, welcoming, and providing a safe, fun and loving environment to children and families.
Both of my children have been going here for 5 years and I couldn't ask for a better childcare.
I also love getting live updates about my children throughout the day.

Our son has been attending Community Kids Berwick for over a year now and as first time mum it was very hard for me to let go but from the moment we walked in for our tour we felt at home. The staff & management team are fantastic, the center is clean and well presented our son loves the food and I love that we get updates throughout the day. Our son struggles at times with drop off and the educators are so lovely and patient with him and ensure that I am updated once he settles. Thank you to all the team, I cannot recommend Community Kids Berwick enough.

My daughter currently attends the 4-year-old Kinder programme, and she loves every moment of learning with some amazing teachers.
The management is fantastic and very easy to communicate with.

A home like centre with wonderful educators who always cater for the needs of the children and families.

My daughter has been at community kids for the last two years! She is now at school, the educators there are amazing and can’t thank them enough of the work they do with other children and my daughter! They make you feel at home and very welcoming. Managers there are amazing and the team educators are too!

We've had a wonderful experience at Community Kids. We joined when my eldest was in Kinder an our youngest as a 9 month old. My youngest is now in his last year at Community Kids and its going to be very hard to say good bye to this little family at the end of the year.

Lots of the educators have a special place in our hearts because they've taken such good care of our children over many years and really care about their development and wellbeing.

The both kids have really enjoyed the food that is served and some of the little treats that have been left at reception have been really yum.

Hayley and Jess are always there at reception to greet you, help trouble shoot any issues and just being a pleasure to deal with.

The team at CK Berwick have been amazing! They have helped my son settle in to a new centre with compassion and love. I could’ve ask for a better transition for him and how much he loves coming to ‘kinder’ shows in the photos and learning documentation I get sent! Thank you for providing such a high quality service!

In a matter of 3 months, my son either gets sick (2-3x) or he will get injuries (4 or more times consecutively). I'm not confident leaving my child with them.

I have sent two children to CK Berwick and have always been impressed by their professionalism, curriculum, care and communication. My son has anaphylaxis and the centre has always gone above and beyond to ensure his safety. Forever grateful! I would recommend to anyone.

We’re so happy that we chose Community Kids, Berwick for our almost two-year old son. He has thrived there since he was 10 months in the supportive, organised environment. The centre runs like a well-oiled machine with impressive communication services offered to families, particularly the daily updates through their app with a minimum of one photo of our child each day he attends, and the weekly email that lets us know what his room is focusing on. Community Kids’ support during lockdown was incredible as well as activities were suggested for each room’s age group that we took great advantage of. We couldn’t speak more highly of this centre.
