A new addition to the Seaview shopping strip. White-walled interiors paired with a sea foam green, make this place welcoming and fitting for a seaside suburb.
Gatekeeper provides a modern menu with items taken on interesting flavour adventures - smashed avo with seed bark, sprouts and parsley oil? The execution is balanced between familiarity and eyebrow-raising wonder. It makes you really want to sample all the other items.
The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu, absent that hipster superiority.
The place seats about twenty or so, with limited places on the sidewalk. We'll be back soon to slide through the menu.
Coffee and food were of good standard with gluten-free options. Service was friendly and efficient. Atmosphere is a little cold.
