Staff member at the self serve checkouts doing the absolute MOST for no reason. Yelling at customers constantly, telling people off for not putting the bag first, or something stupid like that? Yelling unnecessary, unclear instructions at everyone.couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Stop telling everyone how to use SELF SERVE checkouts, especially when nobody asked for it

This one star review is purely for the self checkout “assistant” who kept yelling at everyone like we were minimum wage workers in a factory that werent putting our backs into it. When i go grocery shopping and pay for my goods (that are getting more expensive by the day) i dont expect to get randomly harassed by the staff. He even went to humiliate people by approaching them, touching their belongings and saying things like “what are you doing there thats slow let me show you how you should do it.see how much faster that is? ” All other staff were acting normal apart from him, but no one told him to calm down either. I wasnt gonna say anything cuz i thought it was a one off but i saw another reviewer saying the same thing that means he is still around doing the same thing

Seriously one of the best coles during lockdown security guard is super helpful to people and super nice
The staff are always so helpful even at the very end of closing time.

They literally work so hard even at 2mins to closing and they all deserve a payrise.

If any one bought this dated coles brand eggs pls DONT USE as it was spoil. I had bought 24th august this pack of egg and it’s got expire date till 30th September but most of eggs are sopil and rest are too old to use. My experience is ridicules.

Parking is good and bad, free for 90 minutes when you spend $30 at Coles which is great but the parking machine never works properly, despite it being upgraded, the only one in the city that fails to consistently work. Coles offer coinless (free) trolleys which is great. Not a big store but has almost all types of items but limited by variety in each category. Gets quite busy with narrow Isles. The area in which it's located has shady characters, sometimes in the parking area, but it is the city and it is a central commute hub, nothing of concern even at early hours of the morning. Staff are quite good, had an issue one time, sent in a complaint in writing, that one time, the only time I've ever complained because the staff member was super rude, but management dealt with it professionally with a bunch of options, timely, and took the matter seriously with great assurances. It's the preferred Coles in the city area for me and would be better if Wilson fixed their damn parking machine, no fault of Coles but as an extension, it reduces the experience.

Huge range of ready to eat and quick, microwavable options along with everything else you could need if you live or work nearby. This Coles is huge and, if there is a line, things move quickly.

Also, another time I was charged $14 worth of ginger that I did Not purchase.
Some of the employees on the front-counter are dodgy and not trust worthy, they do their job in a rude manner and without any care.

Asked them to check stock of an item for me and they couldn't be bothered checking. Told me to look for it myself.
When I told them I couldn't find it on the shelf they just simply said then they don't have it.
Didn't bother to help me locate it in another store. When I asked them to check another store they told me to call up myself.
I needed it to make dinner that night. Useless, unhelpful, lazy staff.

Staff are rude and unprofessional. I think they need to do the induction again. Can't even meet the standard of customer service. Will not come back or recommend anyone to the store.

I was very impressed with the people working there because all of my requests were truly masterful and supportive. The goods I needed were also full and of high quality. The best place to fulfill your grocery needs, yes!

Shout out to the security guard politely informing non mask complaint shoppers that masks are mandatory indoors again! Thanks for keeping us safe.

This Coles alone has a great variety of food and drink, customer support is quite lacking though. Aswell as quite understaffed, saw a criminal stealing meat.

Looks like it’s had a reno. Nice modern coles - well laid out and has most things you get in the bigger coles. Come here for my weekly roast chicken

Coles at Spencer street is located near to Southern cross railway station. Tram stop is very near to it. This place is very useful and convenient to the working employees as well as home maid or housewives.
The Mall is also opened in the early morning till night. That means the products selling in the mall are available to the consumers.
Large number of employees are working in the offices located near southern cross railway station.
This mall is very much useful to the families/ public, as it will be open for longer time in a day.
Edibles are also available in the premises.

This Coles store is located near Southern cross station.a good location for shopping your groceries.
The store is pretty big and sells a lot of varieties of food.
They even have coconut milk and other Asian groceries.

The largest Coles in the city near southern cross station. Has excellent range of items with reasonable prices and attractive offers. The staff is great and friendly.

I've been shopping here for a couple of years now and am very impressed with the service I receive from Daniel who manages the fresh fruit and vegetable department. In the difficult times of covid where stock was often an issue, Daniel always went over and above to ensure that I was well looked after.
Daniel has set the bar high in servicing the customer and knows his product and his customer.
