Coles Avondale Heights reviews
63No service, only self serve, not all of us like doing that or want to and the machines never work properly. Rude staff. None of this would have happened if people were actually on tills serving customers
Amazing. Loved it! Modern, clean, iles are great. Easy to find things. Large variety of food and lots of great prices. Deli staff need to be quicker in serving staff. Too slow.
This place sucks and is ok.
Firstly, the staff here are and always have been amazing.
The negative:
1. Always out of stock of specials
2. Only Coles in Victoria without a macaroon freezer and pick and mix nut selection
3. Now shuts at 10pm
4. Neglected by Coles Head Office (with all money poured into the Moonee Ponds hell hole)
Every time I visit Coles - I’m guaranteed exceptional service if served by Chris. Thank you for always being so friendly, assistive and courteous. It’s the little things that you do like making sure I scan my flybuys card that stands out to me. Keep smiling and doing a wonderful job
Easy parking, typical Coles store, friendly staff + bottle shop. Usually have some marked down prices about 8pm. Now has an area of "special buys" like Aldi including Bluetooth label printer this week, camping chair last week.
Went to card machine with groceries, and realised I only had cash. I asked Coles staff member for help and was told to go to the back of the line & wait for the cash machine, because I didn't have any bank card with me. I was so annoyed, with that staff member that I told her I'm leaving the groceries there at the automatic register, so I did. Coles staff member who was over 50 years was rude and abrupt. I would never recommend anyone to shop at this store, their prices are higher than Aldi & Woolies. And I've had staff members speak rudely towards me previously also. My Advice. Go To Aldi. Or Woolies in Keilor East, the staff their are more engaging and friendly. Frank England
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. No smile, No hello! I Never will shop there again.
The staff here is one of the least engaging. They can't be even bothered to say "Hi" or "Thanks". Or maybe they are selectively choosing who to greet?
Nice Clean store. Easy access to products. I usually shop at woolies but thought i would give new coles a try. Only criticism. Staff stand around talking insteafd of manning the self serve registers which is a shame. Was 4 of them just chatting away. I actually was going to ask them a question. But felt i was interrupting. So found the product myself after 10 mins.it wasn't avondale heights store. It was highpoint
This is my local, it's well laid out and well staffed. My only complaint is that the car park can be difficult to cross as a pedestrian.
A huge Coles store with an enviable range across all departments. Quite possibly the biggest Coles store I've visited. Ample parking too. Located in Avondale Heights, right beside McDonalds.
Daka was on his phone the entire time i was at the supermarket, Ignored me when i asked to help, Kept taking photos of the lollies 'black cats' and when i left he stuck the finger up. (looks like a the most generic white guy)
Today I was confronted and accosted by an older lady working in the self check out isle, now keep in mind I have been a loyal trustworthy consistent bi-weekly shopper for the last 6-7 years. I've never had an incident. Today however this older lady who I have come to avoid and I know my neighbours, local friends and family also do; due to her rude, aggressive and generally unhappy demeanor.
I've not once seen her smile nor speak a kind word to anyone. She has a suspicious and flat out embarrassing (for the customer) mindset where she treats customers as either below her or as if they have offended her.
Or like today committed an unlawful offence. I've been shopping at this supermarket well before said person arrived, I am friendly with the staff and I am known as someone that behaves with respect.
Despite all this and her being there for MINIMUM a year probably much longer in fact (forgive my memory) she continues to treat me in such a way that I FEEL like I am suspected of being a CRIMINAL. IT'S A TERRIBLE FEELING. The other staff are great and must have alerted her by now to the fact that I've been a loyal honest customer for over 6 years now yet she continually treats me as though I have committed a crime or I am suspected of doing so.
Today she loudly and purposely came up and cornered me as I was paying for my goods to ask me what was in my CLEARLY marked pharmacy bag filled with pharmacy products with clearly marked labels that have my details on them, a clearly marked 7-11 water bottle and again A VERY CLEARLY MARKED bottle of alcohol.
By the time she was satisfied that this loyal customer with out any prior history of deception or theft equating to a MINIMUM of 52 X 2 X 6= 624 shops without incident! Yet even after almost 2 or so years so approximately 210 shopping trips with her mostly always present she STILL continues to treat me and FRANKLY ANYONE be it friends, local family and neighbours with outright contempt.
To the point of such frustration, indignation and humiliation that we have contacted a law firm with the goal to persue a class action civil lawsuit for public defamation being the main charge set with to bring against her as it would be unfair to target an entire store for the actions of a single employee.
With the advice to film and document inevitable future confrontations; capturing her offending.
To indicate whom I'm referring to; she is an older Caucasian Woman with shoulder length hair and an outright rude biased racist condescending unfriendly harsh glum demeanor. Also the only person working the the self check outs at approximately 14: 20 today being the 21st of September.
We still love this store as you are, minus this one exception so very helpful and respectful and I enjoy shopping there still even after 6 plus years. However this employee is problem that needs to be addressed before the 11 locals so far decide to proceed with the documentation of this woman's stereo typing, racial profiling and an accusatory behaviour that directly results in harassment and repeated unjust baseless public defamation. We are fed up, clearly. We hope u take this onboard and perhaps find her a more suitable role in the near future; one with little to no interaction with the public.
Until this happens we will continue to catalogue this individuals behaviour until it's decided we have enough material evidence to proceed down the path of litigation.
Thank you for time and understanding.
I hope future interactions between us and store can remain amicable until this situation is sorted.
Rooney Johnson.
It's a small-scale supermarket, and so is the checkout register. I can't fit in a trolley; it makes me sound like a d**khead pushing it into self-service.
Usually I find everything, good stuff. Good time to go is Friday, worst time to go is Sunday evening.
The service I have just received by Vera was appalling
After giving her a rain check I had received at the store the night before
Vera said “ you can’t have this “ she stood there rolling her eyes, and tapping profusely on the rain check in front of other customers
She made such a scene
Never going there again
The worst service I have ever come across
A huge Coles store with an enviable range across all departments. Quite possibly the biggest Coles store I've visited. Ample parking too.
Usually I do my shopping more locally but was going past Coles. All went ok until I got to the checkout. Only 2 staff on checkout, 1 doing counter work as well. There were about 6 to 7 people waiting in each queue. No effort was made to get more staff so I went to the self serve. Not ideal because I had quite a few items. If that's the norm I won't be back.
When goods weren't available on our home delivery service, they were replaced with completely different items I didn't want. We also ordered a two pack of Cos lettuce. The opened pack only had one that was so rotten, it went straight in the bin, along with the spider.
