Cold Rock Ice Creamery, Hampton

Arrived at cold rock Hampton at 9: 30pm on a Sunday night only for the store to be closed. When business hours say that the store is open until 10pm very disappointing would not recommend.

The owner is a horrible person, has no idea what customer service even is.he hardly fills up the cups which are expensive.save your money and go somewhere else

Arrived here at Cold Rock Hampton at 9: 40pm only for them to be closed 20 mins before their stated closing time, especially when it’s 30° outside on a Friday Night, beyond disappointing if you can’t stay open for your trading hours make sure they’re updated so I don’t waste my time.

Rip off. Owner (at least I think it was owner) was telling staff to make serving sizes smaller. For $7.50 cup of ice cream it should be generous.

I wish I could write a review on the quality of the ice cream (which I guess is good?), but alas I never go to try it. After a fun ride around the bay with the kids, we made a special detour to get ice cream from here on a Tuesday. According to the sign and posted on website, they open at 2.30pm. We go there at 3. Closed. Nothing. No sign on the door explaining due to special circumstances they had to close (e.g. COVID, earthquake - this would have been totally understandable). Nothing posted on social media. Very frustrating and not a great way to run a business, particularly for hospitality if you are trying to recover after a tough year. I hope this feedback is used to better improve and learn!

Felt rushed when ordering, my daughter didn't get a chance to finish choosing her mix ins they girl just started serving it up. Serving size small compared to other cold rocks

About everyone complaining about it taking forever with Uber Eats, it might just be Uber's problem. Not Cold Rock.

Cold Rock has amazing ice-cream and a variety of flavours to choose from.

Highly recommend this place, also. Customer service is great!

Great service; really appreciated the flexibility around preparing the ice cream cake we had left so late to order!

Lots of fun to choose your flavous or flavours then watch the team mix them up asking with various lollies and cookies.

A wee bit expensive but feels special to the kids.even teenagers.

The banana smoothie I ordered was flavourless and literally just water. When I asked them to remake it, the guy working just told they followed the recipe and that’s how it is. But a smoothie isn’t water (?).

Great variety of flavours and very helpful staff. If you can't decide which flavour to indulge in you're able to sample before you purchase. Add a mix in or two to make it interesting and add texture to your cold delight. Mix ins consists of lollies and chocolates and are mashed into the gelato or icecream on a freezer bench in front of you.

Has the ice cream at cold rock somehow gotten worse? I had a few spoonfuls of mine and ended up throwing it out as it did not taste great. The staff are nice enough, however the product was very bad especially considering the price of the ice cream.

Ordered via Ubereats and delivery time was originally estimated at 40 minutes and kept getting delayed for over an hour, even when the driver went to get it he had to wait 15 minutes. Didn't expect 1 tub of ice cream to take over an hour.

Delicious ice-cream! Nice friendly vibe and considerate staff. I recommend Honeycomb ice-cream with a flake smashed in!

No dairy free icecream. Not one flavour! Only sorbet. If they answered their phones we could have saved ourselves a 20 minute drive. Balaclava store has 7 dairy free ice cream flavours if you're looking

I was going to go to Cold Rock Hampton but upon reading the responses from the owner, I would never come here. What appalling behaviour from a business owner especially one that provides a service to a large number of children, I run a business and although customers and reviews annoy me greatly I would never response with such rudeness. I am not saying the customer is always right, however there is a way to tell them they are wrong and this is not the way. I have seen many businesses go broke over the years from running stores (much like yours) and you are on this path if you continue to treat customers in this manner.
My one piece of advice, no matter what your customer say or do without them how will you sell ice cream?

Not worth the price. Too little quantity and icecream tastes below average. No rich flavours. Fudge is just about okay. Altogether it's a melted pile of meh.

Got told you can only have a maximum of 2 flavours in a cup lower than a large.
There were no signs that showed this rule either.

Most other cold rocks also don’t have this rule implemented either.

Glad I never worked at this store as we cared about our customers at mine.

Why charge per cup if you can’t chose how you’d like to fill it.
It you want customer to not choose more than 2 flavours, then you should charge in scoops.

All of the napkin holders as well had notes stating “only take one”
This is not a good atmosphere to be in

Clearly a place that doesn’t care about customers but only cares about taking your money and giving the least amount to their customers

Go somewhere else.

Customer service is appalling, I tried to order on Uber eats it said that it’d only take 25 minutes but the time kept changing and next thing I know it’s going to be an hour till it arrives. Extremely rude manager that is nothing but mean to the staff which are mostly young children. The manager is lazy and does not have his priorities set straight. I like the ice cream but the manager just lets down the whole place

Good and fast service, very very good practice and good handling skills and the ice cream is pretty good. I'm willing to bet the serbets would be amazing.
