Just because we have been super lucky that we didn’t need to see a GP in the past 3years, and we actually need to right now, we were rejected. What policy is that they don’t take new patients when we live like less than 1km away?

I have been a patient at Kensington for 12 years. The Doctors, Nurses and staff have always been professional and supportive. They have cared for me during the death of my Husband and my diagnosis of a chronic disease.

Completely unhelpful. Denied me the opportunity to get my COVID vaccine from them because I'm not an existing patient. Maybe I'm not an existing patient because you haven't accepted new patients in two years! So instead of walking to my closest GP to get my vaccine I have to take public transport during lockdown, with 867 new cases reported in Victoria yesterday, to get it. That's just silly. You would think during a global pandemic organisations would have a little more common sense. Thanks for nothing cohealth!

I have been attending co-health (12 Gower st, Kensington) as an interpreter for nearly a decade. The center provides wonderful service to many NESB, and the staff are very nice and professional.

However, recently, I have noticed interpreter booking procedure, which clearly violates ‘equal work opportunity’ and could potentially be damaging to the center's reputation.

This relates specifically to TIS online interpreter booking for Doctors.
Basically, some reception staff are making new online booking while an interpreter is still with them just after finishing another assignment, and they are making sure that that particular interpreter takes the job before he/she leaves the premise.

This, of course, flies in the face of the policies TIS has put in place to ensure equal work opportunity to all interpreters.
It also leads to monopoly where only one or two interprets of a particular language group take the jobs at Co-health.

Rather, it would be fair if you send the booking request after the interpreter leaves your premise. This gives other interpreters reasonable chance to accept jobs at Co-health.

If a patient has a justifiable reason for preferring a particular interpreter, then staff need to follow the right procedure as outlined by TIS.

Finally, while I am pretty sure this is happening inadvertently, I appreciate if staff at 12 Gower refrain from this practice and give all interpreters an equal work opportunity at Co-health.

Sounds as though they are very good but I called for an appointment today and was told they are not taking new patients.

The 'mental health' workers there have no regard or sensitivity for people with a mental illness. A worker I had went behind my back and emailed my land lord expressing I should no longer live at my home. This in turn got me illegally evicted. When I asked them to further help pay for the storage costs incurred by Marcus Kennedy causing my illegal eviction without even telling me he was emailed my land lord, they told me harshly that housing was not their concern. So why did the worker email my land lord is housing was none of their concern? I was lied to, betrayed and treated inhumanely despite my trust that he and co health were trying to help and support me, while they did the exact opposite.
