Had the steak sandwich and mango smoothie. Was an absolute treat and very filling.
Staff were friendly and the venue is well run with timely service. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
The most expensive coffee I've ever bought and a high surcharge due to a weekend- not necessary. Unfriendly service too.
Gem of a local, tucked away amongst the residences in Wheelers Hill. Surprising vibe given its quiet location - and then you discover why. This place serves some of the tastiest brunches in the south eastern suburbs, coffees and a mean dirty chai. Well portioned, seasoned and presented plates. Food tastes as good as it looks. Big love for the chicken burrito bowl Streetside parking is not hard to find and service has always been lovely. Can’t wait to return.
Excellent find near Jells Park. FOOD is extra ordinary, mouth watering and super quick service considering busy weekday. We had Smash avo with scrambled eggs and Chili. Must say we licked our dishes.yum yummm
Beware of hidden "cost of living crisis" surcharges being added to your bill, even when paying cash.
Located in wheelers hill, hidden in a residential area.
A welcoming entrance with a modern decor, lots of seating available indoor and outdoors.
Presentation of food looked good, taste wise it was average.

Drinks:

Iced Matcha Latte with Soy Milk
Good food, service and coffee in the area. I would go back to try other dishes!
The burrito bowl was great. Fritters was also good but slightly too soft inside and a bit bland.
It pains me to write this review as I have been a dedicated regular at this cafe for years. However, upon my recent few visits I have noticed some changes that have distorted my perception of this once warm and safe destination. Firstly, I have recently been greeted by some very unwelcoming staff members who seemed eager to get me seated and then gone. It is truly a shame as the last time I was here there were different, and somewhat more respectful staff who had more of an inviting presence and a genuine passion for their jobs. This noticeable difference has disheartened me and my friends from embracing this cafe as a local gem.
No complaints. Something a little different and everyone enjoyed their meals. Hope to return soon.
It’s a little gem hidden on the edge of Glen Waverley/Wheelers Hill.
Starting with the service, for the most part the wait staff are fairly attentive but I guess sometimes you could be waiting a tad longer to be seated/served as my table has been missed for service/order in the past but that’s forgivable as it does get quite busy.
Coffees/hot drinks at least to me it’s quite good and generous I usually order a chai latte which only comes in one size here and it’s a decent serving so I’m happy:)
Food, I have tried most of the items on the menu and food overall is very good and portions are generous and the most important thing is that it’s consistent on taste and quality which is very important.
Prices, like everything it’s by no means a cheap eat but it’s very reasonable and I don’t mind paying abit more when food and atmosphere is good.
Only real complaint is that there is no steak and chips and parma on the menu.
Nice relaxed atmospere in an out of the way location with no hussle a bussle. Friendly helpful staff and no over the top pricing. Fairly easy parking. I recommend it and will be a return customer.
This cafe is a local gem. Trendy menu and quality food. Nice coffee. I wish I could come here more often.
Nice coffee stop for the morning get up and go.
Very busy on a Sunday morning.
Great food.
Had a great breakfast here today, the bascon benny was awesome.love the bit of heat in the hollandaise and the coffee is also good. Lovely neighbourhood cafe
The coffee here was fantastic! I ordered a steak sandwich thinking it would be fresh and similar to others I’ve had in cafes, but it was dripping in butter, cheese and oil and made me feel a bit sick.
Pretty happy with the experience at Code 5, though our drinks were lukewarm. Ordered a burrito bowl and fries, payed 9$ for fries and it was a tiny basket, also they weren’t too warm. The burrito bowl was great and very filling. The service wasn’t the fastest but it made sense since the cafe was busy. Very nice staff, and surroundings, definitely coming again.
Food was quite average and the cost for everything is a bit high but the coffees are great. Great service and attention to detail, good atmosphere. Gem hidden away in suburbia
A cup of iced coffee with ice cream is perfect for a hot day. I liked Code Five’s iced office as the flavor is light. Possibly it’s because coffee is diluted by ice, but I liked the light touch of bitterness mixed with a bit sweetness from ice cream. The prana iced coffee was also interesting. For anyone who likes masala, it’s a must try. First impression of Code Five was really good. I also noticed they have a large variety of dishes for brunch, but we had our lunch before we went to Code Five and the kitchen was closed. It will be my brunch place to go next time when I have a chance.
Really friendly staff, took care of us and very attentive. Food was a good portion size and very tasty. Coffee had a nice flavour. Would highly recommend.
