This place has a lot of interesting things, the people are pretty good, if a little impatient with first time hobbyists.

Staff are so helpful.
Lady with blonde hair who works in the aquarium/fish section was amazing. She knows her stuff and was so great about my questions.

Kids love going to Coburg Aquarium to see all the different varieties of fish and reptiles. I get my salt water from these guys and staff are extremely helpful always delivering the water containers to the boot of my car.

Visited Coburg Aquarium on a whim, and I'm so glad I did. Kendall was extremely helpful with all my questions, and she had genuine enthusiasm about the fish and setting up at home aquariums. Can't wait to go back!

Rude as hell manager. Went in to ask some questions about a lizard and I was speaking to a girl at the counter who was helping me plenty and the manager chimes in, cuts her off and speaks over her. Not even that I was asking about a blue tongue lizard and the manager condescendingly asked “do you have a reptile license”. Don’t even need one for a blue tongue.

Very, very impressed with Coburg Aquarium. I recently purchased a quantity of Sucking Catfish and Mystery Snails for "Seafood Tuesdays" at my boutique restaurant in Heidelberg. Customers loved it! Will come here again for home cooking as my restaurant has now been shut.

Great range of stock, accessories and fish. It defiantly is a one stop fish shop. However the customer service could be improved. A few customers and myself were waiting at the register waiting to be served while a staff member walked right by ignoring us. A young lady was serving another customer or two with the stock and had to ask the other male staff member to assist. Didn't feel quite welcomed.

This Aquarium has seen better days! Every tank is rusty and filthy. Lots of dead fish in tanks. All of their plants for sale were covered in black mould. The staff were arguing between themselves in front of customers and ignoring us. When we were finally served the staff member went out back to restock tanks before getting our fish, which there were heaps of in the tank. We were left there for 20 minutes before I finally complained to another staff member who went out back and asked them to come back out and finish serving us. I won't be back.

This aquarium was at once a great place but has yet to fulfill the standards that it once had. The tanks are overcrowded, fungus and parasites fill the tanks, I bought two plants and 5 fish from seperate tanks and got water fleas (for the first time I’ve ever experienced them), a gourami that had one eye (all the gouramis in that tank had the same issue) and all of my loaches died within 2 days when entering established tanks. No one asked how big my tanks were, what I had, whether the fish were compatible etc.they don’t care about the fish or the buyer, only the sale. They still keep their bettas in jars! And claim that the water they’re in is “established”. 0 out of 5 stars if I could rate honestly.

They have a great range and the service was great in this visit. The musty wet carpet in the aquarium room is a bit gross

Very poor customer service, I've been 3 times this year and won't be going back. I asked for some assistance and was told to pick a number and wait, while the very same staff member just continued on some duty he was doing. I asked for clarity about the system they had in place as the sigange was inadequate and after waiting a few minutes for a staff member to assist me I just ended up leaving as I was so disappointed with the poor customer service. I thought I'd give them another chance after my second visit which was poor too but I will not be going back and would encourage those new to the game to stay away and try a smaller local aquarium or pet store.

Have not had a bad experience here everytime we visit. They have a lot of varieties of fish, reptile, insects and products to accommodate aquarium enthusiasts.

At times it seems they're understaffed as it can get busy and you have to wait to be served. There is no order, it's whoever's can wave a member down first. However, everytime we've been assisted, staff have been helpful, patient and friendly

Prices are moderate to pricey and not clearly labelled, so you can't browse freely without waiting for a staff member and ask for prices or you just pay for it at the end if you still want it.

Kind of place were everyone is really really busy and you just don't get how busy they are and how hard it's to actually take the time to help you.that kind of place, but I guess it's awesome if you actually know lots about fish and don't need to ask or interact much.

The workers are lovely and their range of products are good however when I went there were so many dead fish in the tanks.especially one tank I saw with a betta sorority there were 3 decaying bodies that looked like they were there for a while.also bettas are supposed to be kept in a low-flow environment but seeing them kept with filters that are set on high was disappointing

Waited for 45 mins for service to buy a marine tank but had no luck. Asked one person but he was busy filling the tank with water, asked another person and he told me he didn't know much about them and he would get someone but never did. No service also in the fish area where I waited for another 10 mins. A lot of staff but no customer service. This is not the first time I have experience this. Management really needs to understand what their staff is doing or train to give better service.

Its always stressful when you’re having to move house let alone when you want to make sure that your fish and tanks will make it there safely. I was so impressed with the assurance that Coburg Aquariums offered with transporting my two fish tanks to my new home. They went above and beyond while still being super efficient. Thank you so much!
