Coachman Motel

My family stayed here one night during our visit to Philip Island. We suddenly planned and book this place at the last minute but we were happy that they had everything in place when we went there. The room had almost all the kitchen amenities, dining table, microwave oven, refrigerator and a television too. Also it had a connecting room which has two single beds. Enough storage space to keep our bags and clothes. This motel is within walking distance to the Cowes beach and the city. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a motel in Philip island for a reasonable price.

Within walking distance to the beach and some really great restaurants/cafes. The deluxe suite came with a spa which was nice and the room itself was very clean and came with ample coffee, soap etc.

Otherwise, would've been nice to have a properly working freezer in the mini fridge and you could sometimes hear the plumbing in the walls when using the bathroom or when other rooms used their bathroom.

Overall a good stay with lovely service.

Not flexible with dates. We needed to change dates and they heaps of availability. Because they made an error with their nite minimum they said they are going to cancel are booking because they forgot to put 3 nite min on public holiday. Because we would book for an additional nite they would let us change the date. Even though we originally had the public holiday nite booked anyway

The Coachman Motel was a decent place to stay for a few nights, although it is starting to show its age and could use some updating.
The location was great, as it was within walking distance of the main center of town and the beach.
The room was clean and had all the basic amenities we needed, including a comfortable bed and a small fridge. However, the decor and fixtures were a bit dated and could use some freshening up. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, the Coachman Motel served our needs for a short trip, but it would be even better with some renovations.

The manager treats house staff like slaves. Always yelling at them to work "faster faster". There is noise coming from the hotel at extremely late hours and the crisp sheets are from an outside company. I know because I was staff once.

Nice little room was clean… bed was very comfortable. Only issue I had was the front door had eight frosted glass panels which let HEAPS of light in. Other than that… great!

Lovely place to stay, price is decent and the rooms are very fresh and inviting. James was incredible. Highly recommend.

Overall great experience. Good value for money. Had all the amenities in a 2 bedroom apartment. We stayed in apartment 1. It was spacious and had enough beds for a family with kids. Beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean. Sheets crisp and fresh. Bathroom was spotless and they had Netflix! Highly recommended.

Had issues with nearby Airbnb. Walked into hotel, appreciate that James welcomed us and even share with us attractions and food nearby. Great hospitality

We had a great time staying over here for two nights. Staff was friendly. The location is great and located nearby lots of shops. The room was tidy and clean.

Nice and tidy. Little bit old country style. Beds is comfortable. Fully aircond and heather. Fridge, Stove and microwave and kitchenware. TV and one free parking space. Very close to the shop and beach. Price is very fair.

So whilst the buildings appear tired, the quality of the important things stand out. Sheets were crisp, clean and high quality, towels the same. These are the things that matter.
Staff were so friendly and nothing was too hard. We will be back.

We have a special needs child and they were so helpful and coming from nearly 20 years in hospitality I know good workers and Jessica on the Front desk was such a delight to talk to and so helpfully and undersding.

Very friendly team, very welcoming. Spacious, bright and very clean updated rooms, and apartment's are serviced. Swimming pool. Family/children amenities.

OVER PRICED. NOT LUXURY. NO LAMPS OR CONDITIONER FOR MY HAIR. NOT WORTH $300 PER NIGHT. STAY AWAY.
There was nothing to like about this property. Over charged. THIS IS NOT LUXURY. Other stayers, be warned. Misleading. False advertising. I contacted the property with a compliant with no answer. Go somewhere else! DO NOT STAY HERE! There weren't even any lamps or conditioner for my hair. $300 per night! TOTAL RIP OFF! Go somewhere else, that'll be cheaper and nicer to stay.

Such a nice place to stay! Within a 5 minute walk from the beach & shops. Very affordable. The male at the front desk was was lovely!

Tidy rooms with close proximity to local shops and cafes.
We did find the walls to be near paper thin. It was quite easy to hear neighbouring rooms throughout the night.

Super happy with the place. The couple that run the motel are very accommodating. Look forward to coming back next year.

The place was clean and the kids loved the pool. Would highly recommend for anyone especially families.

The location is great, within easy walking distance to cafes, restaurants, shops and the beach. Room was clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities including the pool. The manager is extremely friendly and helpful and pointed out quite a few nice walks around the island. 10/10 would recommend.

Rooms were terrible and very dirty, linen dirty, no signal for tv, wifi cut out every 5 minutes

Would never recommend or go back
Sadly I have nothing positive to say about this motel it was just awful
