Hubby and I had lunch yesterday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The meals that we ordered-Surf and Turf and Surf and Turf burger were so delicious! 5 stars for the meals and service. Also thank you to Anne for the surprise box of flowers. Had a lovely day. Thanks.

Loud and noisy overhead speakers, not adequately adjusted for the amount of people in the room. If you're sensitive to loud noises and the painfully loud "random out of nowhere for no reason" bellow from technological feedback loop.

The food was tardy, staff were not interpersonal. Service was slow. Everyone on my table finished their meal before I had a plate of food on my table.

-4 stars for being felt like I was nothing more than food waste
+1 because I know the circumstances are difficult for you with the number of patrons you had to service.

Ordered steak sandwich for my bday waited. Over 30mins which never waited that long before to find mustard on my burger yuk never had mustard on burger before the chips are normally nicer but they weren't.

Came here to dine with friends. I ordered a parma. I stated I wanted a plain parma with gravy on top accompanied by chips, nothing else; no tomato sauce, cheese, ham or any of that - basically a schnitzel but they didn't have it on the menu. The staff member seemed to be teaching a new person how to work the till while punching in my order. I noticed the opportunity for miscommunication and mistake so I asked the staff member to kindly relay my order back to me.

Of course it was completely incorrect when they repeated it back to me.

I retold him my somewhat-specific-but-entirely-simple-order, all the while, he offered no eye contact, while chuntering to the new staff member on the till. He nodded and acknowledged a correct understanding of my order looking somewhat disgruntled.

Twenty minutes later I was presented with A parma, tomato sauce, ham, mozzarella and salad on top with chips - No gravy.

Entirely not what I had twice ordered.

I asked for an explanation for the twice mistaken, but clearly stated order, the Indian lady was totally unapologetic and asked 'What I wanted her to do? '.

"Can you please sort this out? -This is really bad service. " I opined.

She proceeded to take my plate into the kitchen, scrape the contents into the bin and return my money without an apology. I was stunned. All she needed to do was remove the unwanted and twice un asked for ingredients and give me a serving of gravy. But alas! I was left standing cash in hand, hungry in belly with a table full of mates tucking into their meals looking up at me.

A woeful experience with utterly pitiful service in a bistro that is totally overstaffed and under trained with workers that display appalling English communication skills.

A true joke.

Orded chicken, mushroom and bacon risotto.
Was very salty and no bacon.had shredded ham.

Sorry if it's supposed to be bacon then serve it with bacon not ham.

Food was served, Roast for the day, potatoes and chicken stir fry had too much salt, talked to service ladies they ignored and carried on with their duties, I went to the counter tried telling them, the food had too much salt. The lady replied " We didn't add salt and there is nothing we can do " I requested to speak to a senior person, they laughed and continued with their work. I waited at the counter until i went back to my seat. One of the ladies from the bar area came to my table and apologized and offered an alternative. One

We had a nice meal at Clayton RSL, we farewelled my mother-in-law and said goodbye at the cemetery.

Went to the RSl with friends and had a meal very disappointed as we had the senior meals where you get a choice of soup main meal or a main meal and desserts so we ordered soup but was sold out and when we tried to Oder main we were told they run out of vegetable so we had chips and salad
How can they run out of these things
One ordered ice but they run out of topping
We weee very different in the kitchen in the end No kitchen should run out of soup or vegetable

Excellent professional services and well presented food and professional female staff in particular well trained indeed.

Past dining at the Clayton RSL was at least 4 stars.not today. Love the warm bread normally served before the meal.it didn’t come.asked for it and it was served to another table (looked like on purpose) the patrons on that table were waiting for dessert… The bread actually came after our meals were served. Food was average versus the past which was tasty. Waited 15 minutes after our meal for dessert.it didn’t come… Asked for it at the counter and was handed the dessert over the counter. Dessert was substandard too… Really like the Clayton RSL which we frequent as much as we can but felt let down today…

Clayton R. S L.is well worth a visit, good T. A. B.area and pokies as well.
I've been a frequent visitor for quite a while so if you haven't been there for some time upgrades and extensions are 1st class especially if you remember the men's toilets.
Looking forward to trying their menu which is always a good
guide to the way the business is run.
As I said well worth a visit, just hope covid let's us enjoy the hard work the committee have done.

I had 1 of the worst meals at Clayton RSL 2 weeks ago.
I ordered Nasi Goreng, it arrived with not 1 vegetable in it and no egg on top.
It was that dry that I had to ask for sweet chilli sauce to put in with it to make it edible, even then I hardly touched it. Previously I have ordered the fish and I'm sure it comes straight out of a box.
It is such a pity as I enjoy the atmosphere of this place.

Terrible service for dinner kept telling us ran out of this food and that food they were all over the place forgot one meal had to chase up.food was noice

Great service and best deals on the steak night and parma night. And much more on other weekdays.

What can I say really nice clean plus I won 140 dollars too on the machine and had a meal which is really nice meals check it out!

Not bad, not great and no complain:)
Bistro on one end and gaming area on the other end. Friendly staff, food is cheap and good, no fuss meal.
Ample parking and train station also just few minutes walk away.
