Classic Sichuan Restaurant 四川经典酒楼

Can't believe this restaurant has started to ripe people off! It was a nice place before. I had brought overseas guests here a few times in the past few years.

My hubby and I ordered 2 dishes- Spicy boiling fish and Spicy chicken with bone (advertised as per drawing on the wall). The fish dish was okay! The spicy chicken was dark in colour and overcooked! No where close to what I had last year in the same restaurant!

The ripe off part is when I asked for assistance to order the dish showing on the wall, the waiter directed me to order the spicy boneless chicken on the app. When I actually went to pay, I was charged an extra item (rice) - an extra $3. I questioned they had billed me incorrectly, and the staff told me I ordered spicy chicken with bone. Hence, we bill you an extra $3. What the hell?

You have lost a customer since now! Bye!

I regret not taking a picture of the spicy chicken! On a separate note, 4 tables only in total on a Friday night at 7: 15pm, you know what's the standard like now.

I often come here for dinners. The overall quality of the dishes is not a problem. The fat intestines are a bit average. Remember to tell the waiter to ask the chef to put less salt. The hands are heavy haha

Some meal are ok. But 60% are poor quality. And they really cut down on material, which is not nice.

One of my fav Sichuan restaurants in Melbourne! I went there several times! Would always go back! Portion is big!

I will never go back again. Service there is not only bad, it’s very bad. Water served with food residue, food come with insect. Just a nightmare.

I have eaten there four or five times, and this experience is terrible! I ordered Jinsha tofu soup. I ordered it once before and thought it tasted very good. Today, when the dish was served, two bowls came out. It tasted like nothing. The tofu inside was not too fresh and fishy. I told the waiter that the dish was taken to the back kitchen and added. The salt was served again intact? ? ? ? The tasteless ones we served before are gone? ? ? ? The boss explained that because the back kitchen was too hot today, he didn't re-cook it for you and gave you a cold dish. Later, I poured out the soup without drinking it. If the weather is too hot, please don’t open for business. Later, I ordered gold and silver steamed buns for the children. The golden steamed buns were as if they were not fried, and the white steamed buns were not steamed. Whatever, I will never come back again.

Great tasting food, and the secluded rooms are great for a private casual dinner. Everything we ordered was amazing with lots of spicy and non spicy options. If you don't care about the ambience of the place and after quality food to really fill you up this is the place!

Love every dishes we had ordered. So delicious and tasty. Portion are big, happy. Spacious and comfortable environment. They have private rooms if you looking for more privacy space. Love it love it love it. Definitely will go again.

THEY RE-USE LAST NIGHT'S DINNER FOR NEXT DAY'S DISHES. BE CAREFUL! I had an early lunch here (soup dish) and while I was finishing I saw remnants of broken noodles of a different type.horrible to think if it came from another diner's bowl, my order was definitely not freshly made.

Cats and dogs can also use the help to make small crypto products easier and easier for people with the no one in a very difficult task and they have no choice of the job but the people I know of are the ones who are not the same thing in a very difficult 6way 66and 6that and the other ones in the same thing as a game changer for me but I still have to be the only ones that have a problem that I can be a good one

Classic Sichuan food with clean and quiet atmosphere. The hotpot and stir fried dishes are all tasty. Great place to experience and enjoy real Sichuan cuisine!

Hardly any diners by 830pm on Monday night; waiting staff were cleaning/mopping the restaurant floor before we stepped out of the venue - an issue for the health inspector to take note; for the spicy fish with Chilli Oil dish, the freshness & quality of the fish BASA is less than average.hope these observations will help the restaurant owner/s to manage the restaurant in a more positive manner so far as customer perspective is concerned.

Good sichuan food. The ordering system is difficult to use and not in english. Hard for non-chinese people to look at the menu.

How dare you said you are the same group of people as the previous "Sichuan Restaurant" on Carrington Rd which was closed down? Your food was bad and overpriced.

Terrible food. Overpriced. Called to confirm the price of hotpot $24.80 but they didnt mention they charged soup base of $18.80 and sause of $2.50. Very misleading promotion. Not recommended. Check their negative zomato review.

Authentic Chinese Sichuan food. Also offer hotpot buffet. Great food, environment and decoration.

The food is OK, however the service is terrible. The management seems disorganised and inefficient.

I booked here for a quiet birthday dinner with 5 people this week, on a Tuesday night.
Now, I must say, this restaurant is still very new, after taking over from and renovating what used to be the "Greek Tavern" (why a Greek Tavern was in Box Hill is anyone's guess:/)
The service is good, the food is great - what you would expect from a Sichuan Restaurant. Everything is spicy as you would presume and I wasn't disappointed by the food whatsoever.
It's a LITTLE bit pricey, but hey, it's new and people haven't quite figured out about it, simply because it's slightly off the main drag street.

You receive an iPad to look at the menu, which is great, however, I think the software application needs some fine tuning.
Whether or not you want English or Chinese, the menu is the same, but the "checkout" button on it when pressed only shows in kanji, so regardless of the changing of language, the checkout part of the iPad bit remains in Chinese.

We asked for a second "iPad" menu, but we didn't realise that they weren't linked together for our table. This is where I think you could have printed up menus, with good explanations for the food (get to that later) and then to use one iPad for the ordering.

For the menu, as we had a member of our group who was vegetarian, I think the menu could be better described. The vegetarian part of the menu actually included some pork stuff (the eggplant, the mapo tofu), which for me isn't a big deal, but of course it makes it more difficult for vegetarians. A little extra explanation on the menu side of things would help a lot. (I cancelled another booking somewhere else (hotpot beef broth) to come here just because I wanted this person to attend my birthday dinner).

In all honesty, the food is GREAT! There was not a single thing that I disliked (Ok, the dumplings aren't handmade and legit, but do you go to a Sichuan restaurant to order dumplings? No. However, the sauce was very nice).

All in all, we had a very nice experience! The food is very, very nice and everything was pleasant! Even the raging Chinese Hip Hop!: P
(kidding, it was sporadic, it was a quiet Tuesday night after all! We ended up getting into it! Kinda)
