Great place to stop over……owner even gave us some Indian chicken curry when I mentioned about the great smell of food at check in.

I just spent three weeks in this motel while working away. Such a great place in a perfect location. Close to shops and right on main road in and out of Traralgon. Owners Julie and Peter are absolutely lovely and very helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would look no further when in Traralgon. Rooms are super clean and beds are comfortable. Highly recommend.

Nice little spot for an overnight stay, close to town and had the basic things we needed for it to be comfortable.

The motel is right on the Princes Highway (don’t be fooled by Argyle Street address) and traffic is unrelenting. The road noise spoiled my stay, thus the low score. If you’re a part of the deaf community this is the place for you!

Well presented and comfortable room. Pleased to have split system heating. Wonderful to have a cooked breakfast brought to the room. Recommended

Highly recommended to City Gardens as our usual motel in the area was booked out. Room was clean, tidy and well appointed. We booked late and they had put the heating on for us already prior to our arrival. Comfy bed and strong, hot water, both essentials for an overnight stay for work.

Perfectly neat, clean and comfortable rooms. Julie and Peter are very friendly and welcoming and will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

Very glad to have chosen this place. It is a little old but everything was clean and comfortable. We had the deluxe queen which was a little bigger which suited us. The reception was excellent and super helpful. I would definitely stay again. There isnt any food places in working distance but there was a Cheese Cake shop next door. Would stay again.

Cheap, convenient, nothing special but the staff are just so friendly and helpful it's amazing.

Very friendly proprieters here, left a nice big bar of Toblerone in the room for us Christmas Eve. Clean tidy hotel, rooms have all the conveniences you'd expect.

There are so many motels in the area, but somehow we arrived at this little gem. We stayed two nights and came to ride the rail trail. We found our room was quiet, spacious, clean and had everything a traveller needed. The bed and shower was excellent, essential after a hard day's riding. It is close to town, and a very nice town at that.
We were well looked after with information on local places and services. If ever in Traralgon again I would definitely stay at City Gardens.
