Howard and Felicity are excellent tailors and I’ve been going to them for many years for professional alterations and creations. They are highly skilled and super personable.

In a ricketedy old buiding, up ricketedy old stairs, open a ricketedy old door - and WOW.a splendid and fanciful Parisian Salon! The decor was enchanting - much better than the photos. But more importantly, Felicity is an expert in her trade. She converted a size 8 cocktail dress, into a size 10. The finished product was well worth the cost of $100 as it would have been a very time consuming task. I can thoroughly recommend Circe Melbourne, for any dressmaking requirements you may have.

The lady is very lovely and knew what I wanted. She kept me updated on my alterations and when I went to pick up and try on, it was exactly what I wanted! Great work and she is very professional! I One star removed for the extremely rude man that also works there, was very dismissive of me and made me feel uncomfortable, spoke about me like I wasn't in the room. I would consider going back but if I had to have him serve me.no thanks.

I went to Circe to get my wedding dress altered. The person who altered my dress (I think the owner) did the length and shoulders and added in a bustle. He did a good job with the length. However, when I did my final fitting and spoke about how the shoulders were too tight and felt and looked uncomfortable, he said there was nothing that could be done to fix them, because there was no extra fabric. I took them to another alterations shop to fix the shoulders. They said they were not done well and needed to loosen them. They also noticed that the bustle needed to be fixed as well. I was disappointed that after my money and time (I have to rush order these alterations), I had to get my dress fixed.

Felicity did AMAZING work altering my wedding dress - it needed to be made larger, and she really did work painstakingly to ensure I got to wear my dream dress. A very fair price for the amount of care and work that went into my dress. THANK YOU, cannot recommend Circe (or Felicity!) enough.

I work in a high profile industry and this is my go to place for alterations and made to measure. So often you find something you like and it’s not quite right. My advice is buy it and take it to Howard to make it fit perfectly. He is a Master of fabric modeling and he is always honest about what will work and what won’t.
He can also recreate from a picture which he has done for me several times with great success. Highly recommended.

They did good work but they were very expensive. They charged me $150 for one dress that still puckers at the front. They said that’s just what the material and style of the dress will do. They said to get it to not respond that way I’d need to have a different dress design. But then I wish they’d told me that before I left my dress for them to alter as I wouldn’t have agreed to paying $150 if the dress is always going to pucker right across the whole front. I would have gotten a new dress!
