Ciel Café reviews
68WOW! I had such an incredible experience at CIEL Cafe. The staff were so lovely and put so much care and effort into their work. I ordered the smashed avo and two coffees (because I couldn't get enough!), and I would go so far as to say that their smashed avo is the best I've ever had! So full of delicious flavours and so beautiful! It was very refreshing and exactly what I needed. Thank you CIEL:) When I'm back in Melbourne, I'll be sure to visit again!
My favourite cafe in Melbourne. It has such a chilled relaxing vibe with lovely staff and delicious food and coffee!
Barista, Melvin, was really nice! He went out of his way to share insightful tips on how to become a barista! The breakfast roti was really good! The cafe is very spacious so I really enjoyed my time!
Staff are always super friendly, food is always amazing, and the space is really chill & rustic!
This is such a beautiful cafe - the space is bright and open but still feels cosy and inviting, the food and coffee were great and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. I’d love to visit again!
The place is pretty big and spacey and quite busy today due some festival going around in front of the place. The guy who was the front of the house was very nice and polite. However, I don’t really understand their concept of customer service. There was a high top area right in front of the entrance that was available. There was a guy and a girl who decided to sit there to have a small bite and looks like the guy maybe one of the owner. The person who was trying to get us a table was asking the guy who sat on the high top chair and table and been told that the area not available (while he was sitting there with his friend). Very ‘accomodating’ customer service. We kept being told to move around only to get a table. Lucky one of the girl was very nice and friendly and had a chat with us. Food came pretty quick. My eggs Benedict was not great. However my friend’s breakfast burrito was very good.
The space was really cool and staff lovely. Coffee was a bit burnt. I was really excited for the quesadillas but they were just not balanced at all. Very heavy, needed some freshness or at least a lime to squeeze over. I’m sure other things on the menu are better, it’s just sad to spend money on brunch and be actively disappointed. Water bottles are really cute, would be better if they didn’t leak.
Stall all really friendly, coffee really good, food delicious and flavourful. Will be back again tomorrow.
Loved our experience, 10/10 customer service from all staff, lovely venue and just damn good food what more could you ask for? !? !
Really cool cafe, with great portions of food.
It wasn’t a busy morning but my eggs Benny took an hour to come. I think great atmosphere and vibe just very long wait times for food.
Legitimately the BEST coffee in South Melbourne. Glenn who manages the cafe has such great knowledge of coffee and his team are constantly working to improve and better themselves. If you want some good feed, get the Chicken Pot Pie, or the triple decker sandwich!
Excellent experience. From the staff to the food and coffees, everything was awesome.
Menu is not the same as listed on their website though.
Tucked away is this great cafe with some of the best coffee I've ever had. Spoke to Glenn the Barista and after some talk about coffees he suggested how I should take my coffee. Great advice, great coffee and great service.
Friendliest staff ever! They were the highlight, so nice to be welcomed like that. Very good food and coffee, stylish decor, great place.
Great coffee made using award winning beans from Ona Coffee in Canberra. Pastries not bad too. Cool warehouse style interior with rustic industrial aesthetic and kerbside outdoor seating.
Lovely service, love the decor and design. Good coffee and food, portion was big couldnt finished. Lots of choices
Amazing service, coffee and food. The pandan porridge and fried chicken waffles were delicious with generous portion sizes. Staff were very accomodating and welcoming.
One of the best cafes in Melbourne. First Class food, service and coffee. Amazing atmosphere that will keep you coming back every single week.
I don't usually review cafes but felt like Ciel definitely deserved one. My wife and I frequent alot of cafe's around Melbourne but Ciel definitely is on the top of our list. The cosy rustic interior, the great service and the food and coffee are all top notch. It has a relaxed ambience.definitely a must try.
Visited the place on Easter weekend AND IT WAS GREAT. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is great (as you can see from the pics the interior looks amazing) and the food was very, very good. I had the Lavander Panna Cotta and it tasted as amazing as it looks. The portion is very small so make sure you know what you are ordering it's not a main size food to fill the belly! I was very happy with my choice and we also ordered the Fried Chicken Waffle which looked and tasted great and I would recommend. Mushroom Medley is also in my pics which again looked really good but I didn't try. This place is tucked away in a side street so make sure you check it out when you are in it around South Melbourne Market.
