Churchill Park Golf Club reviews
17Surprising public course. Generous fairways however have to play strategically off the tee due to many dogleg holes. Fairways were in reasonable state, bunkers were hardpan but at least consistent so can get out quite easily. Greens were a little slow (but expected for a public course) and rolled true for the most part. Design was quite good with real mix of holes with plenty of twists and turns. Clubhouse was quite old as were surrounds but as long as you keep expectations in check, it's a good time here. Best time to come is springtime before the fairways dry out over Summer.
Challenging course to play but great fun. 19th hole great food & friendly staff overall a great day.
To be honest I am a bit conflicted about reviewing this course because it's become my 'go-to' course when I want a course I can get on easily and finish my round quickly. The 1st and 10th holes are friendly short Par 5s that undersell the charms of this undulating course with something to challenge golfers of all abilities. Signature holes include a number of sharp dog-leg holes that invite the long hitters to take them on. Abundant birdlife and kangaroos mean that even if you have a shocker you can enjoy a bit of nature. Also reasonably priced.
The greens are not good. But it looks like they are trying to get them right now.
Bunkers need sand and work done.
Very heavy track in winter.
But is good in summer.
This place has wide fairways, enough space for venue, it has enough drinks choices and amazing view when it is a good weather. It is not the best condition of green or fairways but it is enough for me.
Bit of a hidden gem. Well manicured course with plenty of undulation and variety of holes, which gives plenty of opportunity to use every club in the bag. A few fairways get soggy after big rain, but it remains playable. Great value for money.
Course is good but the service is terrible. Made to feel like it was an inconvenience to have us play and god forbid you want to cancel a round without a replacement date ready to go. Not friendly and welcoming at all.
The best experience to play Golf in a public course. We met kangoroos at hole 7,14, and 15.
The hospitaity from the staff were superb.
Will come back there again for sure
Great course. Enjoy playing here and it is a good challenge. Facilities are well maintained, They're not kidding about the challenging greens.
Dropped in for lunch. Wife had a nice ham and salad roll. From the extensive $12 lunch menu, I had a magnificent steak sandwich and chips cooked by a young bartender who deserves two pay packets. Pity the lunch is only on competition days. Phone ahead to make sure.
Is a great golf course, all the fairways are wide and greens are nicely maintained, all the green layout are designed with sand bunkers on left, right and backs side is the most challenging part for approach shots.will be back in action again️️
Fantastic golf course with beautiful surrounds. Plenty of Wildlife jumping around the course. Kangaroos etc
Very dry, next to no sand in the bunkers and the greens were like concrete. Very hard to stop a ball on even if you are a good wedge player
Enjoyable night with family and friends. Food and drinks were plenty. Service was good. Lovely place for any occasion.
Good for beginners. Course was nice, though sand bunkers were solid and lots of kangaroo poo on course. Pro Shop service was great with helpful staff
Course was in pretty good condition for our social day. The after game feed on the clubhouse was one of the best I've had and would recommend using Churchill for this type of day out.
