Chur Thai Restaurant

Food is tasty but they need to update the prices of the menu on their website. I ordered from their website but the real prices were more than what was on their menu.

The food was amazing and appetizing. I strongly recommend the restaurant. Also note that if you get green tea you will get charged three dollars per cup. I only learned this after I ordered and I don't get why they do this. (They only use one tea bag, so why would they charge per cup) An overall amazing experience.

I order food tonight. They don’t even check. Use grumpy face and impolite way to asked me wait on the side. I sit there about 10 mins and they just notice they made it and put on the side table already. Is this how customers should be treated? !

Extensive menu. Very busy Friday/Saturday nights. You must pre-book. Lovely decor but extremely noisy. Not easy to talk when full.

Great service. Drinks menu not so good. Poor choice of wines/sparkling. We both had a headache next morning and at putting it down to preservatives in the one drink we had each. BYO is an option with a per glass charge.

Food was well presented and colourful. My prawns were slightly undercooked, I probably should have sent them back. There was enough of them though which is a bonus.

I will go again, just not on a Friday/Saturday night unless I'm there for an early dinner.

Amazing price for great food!
1x massaman curry, 1 large coconut rice & entree of roti bread for $24.00. Customer service was quick, friendly & easy. Massaman Curry had real chunks of beef (not processed flat beef). Really nice food, great vibe in the restaurant & BYO option. Highly recommend!

I went here for dinner and the food options were very good, I had the fried rice and it was super good. Good service highly recommended

Food was delicious. Just wish the menu mentioned that they use mushrooms-haven't had mushrooms in Thai food before.
Other than the waitresses talking and one or two of them doing most of the work, the wervice was extremely quick and would definitely go back.

Went on a Wednesday night. 7: 30pm. Absolute Trash. All my mates have recommended but it must be one of the worst Thai restaurants in melb I’ve been to. How do you stuff up a pad Thai, that’s your bread and butter, was drowning in oil. Chicken special fried rice was so blaaaaand. Fish cakes were ok, veggie spring rolls average. Best part of my meal was the Changi beer.
The service was shocking, they forgot to give us menus on arrival and ignored us for almost 10 minutes, literally walking past a dozen times, it wasn’t busy before you think that, 4 couples in the place.
Look I rarely write reviews but this was bad.

Been here a few times. Disappointing, but the flavours are lacking and can be quite good. Service is really good, but food isn't anything special.

Tom yum seafood soup was bland and very basic. Soups lacked flavor and vegetables consisted of 2 pieces of tomato, mushrooms and 2 mini corn overall poor quality ️

Fantastic. Food is authentic and delicious. The place is nice and big so plenty of room and you don't feel Costco phobic. Can't wait to go back

Bad customer service. I’ve been twice so far.

I ordered a beef curry and the potatoes and carrot were still hard (was difficult to cut through with spoon - should be soft) the beef about half of the beef was too tough and dry. I mentioned this to the waitress who said she would let the kitchen know, but she didn’t try to rectify it at all. The place is busy so I guess if they have some unhappy customers then they don’t care. Coconut rice isn’t very strong, needs more coconut milk or cream.
Second time - also had issues with customer service was in a big group and they messed up the order needed to repeat order about 3 times. They would bring the food out but then 5-6 mins later the rice (dish needed the rice to eat) so should have come together. So food gets cold waiting for rice.
Cost is approx $60 for 2 people. Entree and 2 mains.

Tasty authentic Thai food. Been coming here for many years now and they quality of food hasn't changed. The staff here are amazing, always serving with a smile. Don't forget to try the mango sticky rice dessert (seasonal), it's one of the best in Melbourne.

Have been going here for years and have had no problems until yesterday. Specifically asked for no peanuts as I am anaphylactic to it, it even said on the receipt that there were no peanuts. Had the Pad Thai that we usually order and went into anaphylactic shock, had difficulty breathing and had to go to the hospital and missed a few days of uni. I could've died. Very disappointed as we have been there so many times and denied when confronted that there was peanuts.

The Tom yom soup here is amazing and it’s the best among the ones I tried. You have vegetarian and seafood options also. Try ordering directly to the restaurant it’s more value for money- Deliveries would make a bi difference

Used to be good, but last night Uber eats delivery is a disaster. The chicken inside the Tom yum is all stuck together, that means it’s probably not being cooked in microwave a s a clumped frozen meat! The Moo Yang comes with stir fry broccoli and carrots, and it’s not even the right pork cut and sauce! The seafood pad Thai has frozen seafood smell all over it. I understand it’s tough for restaurant to stay afloat in a pandemic, but u gotta be better than this!

The only good one is the pineapple fried rice.
Downside:
1. Satay chicken all over cooked and very dry.
2. Pad Thai, ask for no chilli and spicy, still come in a little bit spicy, other than that, it’s flavourless. (if’s for our 3yo) what if ppl is allergic to chilli
3. The vegetables spring rolls has nice texture, mouthful of vegetables which was nice. But again, they were all tasteless, none seasoned. Not everyone likes to eat with sweet chilli dip.

The best Thai we’ve had in a long time. I love my seafood and veggies and hubby likes his meats. For us, these dishes have plenty of veggies that aren’t overcooked and a good variety of them with a good balance of juicy meats and prawns just cooked to perfection. Love the fish cakes, our favorite is Green Curry and the Pad Ped Chicken was amazing! Thank you and please keep up the delicious and great quality and variety of your veggies!
