Chosen Bean reviews
36Sensational coffee with roasted pumpkin and zucchini fritters @chosen_bean_cafe Sunday brunch done right! Best coffee in Knox.
Food was cooked with quality and service was really quick too. Most places are reasonably expensive anyways, it's worth spending your money here where you know your getting your money's worth!
Incredible variety of Coffee beans.
Excellent and delicious food. Thanks to Team Chosen Beans
Fantastic place for a breakfast or lunch, awesome chilled out atmosphere. Definitely worth a try if your in the area
Ive had several meals and take aways from the chosen bean. Meals are always delicious and great value. The staff are friendly with a good work ethic, great cafe that will not disapoint
Gluten free & vegan cakes.
Coffee is great.
Meals a bit expensive but tasty.
A Ferntree Gully icon, and still never fails to be exemplary. The coffee industry experience and hospitality smarts are delivered with friendly, efficient and warm service, the food is always delicious and on point, and the environment comfortable and a pleasure to spend time in.
But the real treat is the years and years of coffee roasting experience, resulting in perfectly primed and dialled in coffees, all extracted through the San Remo machine capable of bringing the best out of every nuance. The resulting cups are simply delicious. Plenty of coffee blends you can buy in bags and take home as well.
This cafe is absolutely amazing. So much detail in to making the food. It taste great and of course the coffee is perfect with so much to choose from.
I rarely comment on price given today's instability, but this venue is very very competitive.
This is a cosy little place at the far end of the shops on Mountaingate. However, there is room for improvement. Staff were not exactly very warm and friendly. Just doing the job sorts. We only ordered 2 soups - A chicken and ginger soup and a mushroom soup. We had to wait nearly 40 mins before it was delivered to us. Food was good but the place could do with friendlier staff.
Heaps of good coffee options though
on their menu.
Coffee was great. Banana bread was the best! A bit loud inside with noise echoing so luckily there's outdoor seating.
OK, so the roasted Pumpkin and Zucchini fritters were absolutely delicious!
My friend had the rosti eggs and said hers was also nice, but after tasting mine said she'd order the fritters next time.
I'm already looking forward to coming back and having them again! Yum!
This is the place for you if you want to (a) spend an absurdly long amount of time waiting to be served (even for the simplest order), (b) develop a bad back using ergonomically unsound furniture and (c) pay more for your food and drink than you should.
Friendly and chilled atmosphere, with great breakfast options! Was very appreciative of their conscious efforts for dietary requirements too. I didn't get to try coffee today but it smelt delicious! Would recommend!
Love this little cafe so much!
All the staff are nothing but lovely and helpful.
Even in peak periods food is amazing and service too.
Dispite being busy the manager Lauren went out of her way to come and check that we were happy with our food and if we needed anything else. Shows a true passion and love for her job!
If you love supporting local cafes definitely try this one!
I went for lunch today on a public holiday and whilst the cafe was busy the service was excellent. The blonde lady Lauren made one of the best ice coffees I’ve had in a long time and my boyfriend had an orange juice which was so refreshing in the sunshine.
I’ve eaten here before and the food is always top notch. I had the lentil gnocchi which was a really generous size, delicious and very filling. My boyfriend opted for scrambled eggs, halloumi and bacon. He commented ‘this is the best cafe food I’ve ever had’, highlighting how much he loved the halloumi especially. We also took home a brownie which was absolutely one of the best brownies i’ve ever eaten (I think it was a white choc caramel flavour) not to mention the vegan lamington is also amazing.
More than happy to support a local business like this, especially knowing the challenge it can be to remain open on a public holiday! So grateful we had a place to dine at on a beautiful sunny public holiday and can’t wait to visit again!
A lot of room for improvement; would not come again. The staff were poorly trained; nobody was seating patrons or knew what they were doing. No menus given out until you ask, our order was served incorrectly even after the waiter had confirmed it with us. Toast was stale and hard, bagel dish was pretty tasty
Great breakfast and coffee. The staff put a candle in my pancakes when they learnt that it was my B'day. Thanks.
Excellent menu in Vegan meals. Have not been there for a while, for obvious reasons. NQR pandemic if compared to the Black Plague of 14th century. That kept us off the street too, but in an entirely other way. The dead don't walk.
Staff dont wear masks. Had to throw out two drinks ($14) because we just didn't feel safe enough to drink them. No signs of exemptions and regardless, these staff members are coming into contact with lots of people. There were at least 12 people in store not social distancing or signing in after we ordered.
Used to love this place (previous review was great) however last time I went, waited over 10 minutes for a coffee checked what was happening. "Yeh it coming had to do all the others first" I drink Soy Milk
Then handed me the coffee no thanks for waiting sorry for the delay. I felt like I was the inconvenience, disappointing
