Chino & Co reviews
37Just purchased a chicken wrap-it tasted odd and I did not finish it. One hour later I am feeling ill, checked the inside and it is obviously inedible and quite old, and smells quite appalling. They also permit smoking in the designated outdoor eating area which is illegal.
Cece the manager is the warmest kindhearted person and makes every customer smile
The coffee is excellent and the muffins are tasty
Just had an AMAZING lunch here. I had the Balcombe Scramble and my daughter had the Mushroom Omelette, and they were both awesome! And to top it off the service was great!
I highly recommend this place!
We will definitely be back!
I came in today for lunch and on arrival, there was no one else in here. I have no idea why - an absolute hidden gem!
Fast and friendly service, amazing coffee, very well priced. I got a chicken foccacia and it was incredible! So fresh and such a generous size. Will definitely be back!
Staff were very attentive. Was only there for a tea and coffee.but would go back to try their meals.support local.
Such generous servings, the staff were very prompt to serve me and provide a menu and it had a great energy about it from the cooking staff and red hair waitress
Absolutely delightful cafe. Best eggs Benny I've had in a long time! All three of us had absolutely amazing food and drink, not pretentious or over the top fancy - just a nice, sit down brunch. Perfect.
Just thought I'd say. One of the best coffees I've ever had. And I've had quite a few. Exactly how I like it! Made perfectly by a very talented barista. I'm hard to please with coffee. And this one didn't disappoint. Perfect! Thankyou.
Always been great over the last couple of years, no longer great food unfortunately. Coffee still very good. What's changed?
Popped in a few times for a coffee but today I had a tumeric latte with coconut milk. I really enjoyed it and will be back for more. Friendly staff and reasonable parking. Great to sit outside on a sunny day.
Awesome outdoor seating for good weather and a nice vibe inside when it isn’t. Great coffee and friendly staff
Food is beautiful especially the egg and bacon rolls really nice coffee grate highly recommended
I've been here a few times, and the food and drinks were delicious. Great service and plenty of gorgeous dogs in the outdoor seating area!
Excellent local cafe. Great location, easy parking. For me mainly coffees to go, but have had sit down breakfast a few times, and always been fantastic.
EDIT: now rated 1 star. New chef started a month ago and food has gone downhill the pancakes are just chewy. The whole atmosphere has changed it’s not friendly anymore, orders are wrong. Staff look bored. The last chef made great food, made you feel welcome, was so friendly and it felt like a real little local, not anymore.

Great little cafe, friendly staff, good food. My favourite is the pancakes. Child friendly with high chairs and colouring in.
Fantastic place. Plenty of places to sit inside and out. With highchairs for little ones, and noticeably child friendly. Staff are very attentive and friendly. All food cooked on the premises and home baked muffins looked wonderful. Homemade soup of chicken and vegetables. That had loads of fresh cut vegetables. Good choice of drinks. An area for a group to sit with a level of privacy for a meeting place. Good choice of seating outside as well. All in all I loved it
Best eggs benedict around, presentation gorgeous with micro herbs and flowers. Always lovely staff and consistently great food and coffee. Dog friendly with a really lovely vibe. Prices are fair also.
Has the feel of a local's cafe set in a suburban shopping strip, but my coffee was weak, like drinking dirty milk. The food was ok, but TBH there are better coffee options in Black Rock village.
Average service. The most bland food I have ever tasted in my life. Excited to treat myself to an overpriced swanky Melbourne breakfast, only to receive an almost empty plate of steamed bland soggy vegetables, with two unevenly poached eggs. The most disappointing breakfast I’ve ever waited for. The vegetables and eggs as well as being completely bland and tasteless (the simple addition of SALT may have improved the dish doubly), are drowning in oil. If the lack of nutrient, and energy from the sparse green leaf veggies, then worry not, because you will surely get your daily caloric and fat intake from the oil. Was charged $50 at the end of the awful experience, and am still recovering.
Definitely will not be returning.
