After laparoscopic appendectomy, I had a complication called surgically-induced neuropathic pain (SINP). This affected my genitofemoral nerve and pain can be felt from my pelvic to my intimate area. The worse pain I had can be compared to the pain I had when I was in labour with my child.
Dr Shao Ming was referred to from my friend’s mother who went to him after she had a stroke. He did I-Ching acupuncture for me and I was at first sceptical and it does take longer than 5 sessions to see the results. He made it possible or speed up my nerve damage recovery. I am now in the process of rebuilding my muscle tone which I lost during the whole ordeal. I can report I have muscle aches and some minor sitting pain but this is all part of recovery.

Dr Tracy Hickling has been an absolute blessing in my life and is the reason I am walking again. I have been going to Dr Shao for more than 25 years. He was the only person who helped an old back injury after I had tried many allied health practitioners with no effect. I had a condition (with some unpleasant symptoms) since the start of 2017 which I was taking medicine for. The medicine wasn't really working, and it was slowly working less and less. I'm a patient of Dr. Ming Shao for the past 28 years. I can only say that every time he helped me with my problems. My first visit was approx 28 years ago when i was suffering with back pain related to stress. After few visits my problem was fixed. I have been visiting Dr. Shao every few years to continue my well being. However 4 years ago I have damaged my right shoulder tendon (totally snapped with 1cm gap). Obviously I have been under control of the specialist and on the list for the surgery. Waiting list was very long so I have decided to see Dr. Shao for his opinion. He told me that he will fix it, I was very skeptical as my specialist told me that my case definitely require a surgery. For me this was nothing to lose and try Dr. Shao treatment. Every of his treatment was helping to relieve the pain however it was coming back.
Dr. Shao assure me that he will fix it but we need to continue. After 10 visits he decided to use his final treatment and he warned me that it will be extremely painful. It was. However day by day my condition begin to improve to the stage that i could move my arm without pain. The same time my surgery was booked in, so I have asked my surgeon to ex-ray my shoulder and examine the condition. He done the examination and decided not to operate just when I was already on the operation table, also he order the ex-ray again. I first visited Dr Shao’s clinic in 2011 for acid reflux. He not only relieved me from the reflux, he also cleared the chronic cough I had at that time. Over the 6 years I’ve sought Dr Shao’s acupuncture treatments for variety of ailments (depression/anxiety, knee pain, hip/back problems, and sciatica among others.) In every case I was extremely pleased with the results as I was anxious to avoid dependency on drugs and surgery. Although the treatments for my sciatica issues are still ongoing, I have every faith and trust in him to help me recover.
Dr Shao is a very talented and dedicated professional. Aside from acupuncture treatments, he’s also encouraged me to practice taichi. It has been life changing and aided in my recovery. I presented with inflamed back and neck muscles, tightness in my entire posterior chain of muscles.

My $85 dollar experience consisted of the following:

•The practitioner scratching my muscles with what felt like the back of a pencil and being asked if i felt better yet! Of course; I did not. I should have left then.

•Next, Having 3 acupuncture needles administered to my belly button, yes my belly button.

• the practitioner then asked me to relax and he would return. After a hard day at work landscaping, i promptly fell asleep.

I was woken by the door opening and amazed to be told my hour had passed andy neck and back should be feeling better. What a joke!

Unfortunately, as a polite person i paid the bill. In hindsight only perpetuating the cycle of this rubbish business remaining open.

My back and neck remain in shocking condition and I will never return.

In short: if your problem can be fixed by hopes and dreams; by all means, go to the Chinese Healing Center.
