China Garden Restaurant reviews
50Ordered salt and pepper chicken and this was far from it. Hot and spicy and dry like it’s been sitting in the display for hours. Bad taste and soggy.
I gave them this rating because I dined in they were very slow i ordered a small special fried rice which was very bland tasteless smelt then I ordered a banana fritter and it wasn't much better I will never go back and i will tell other's also I only went there because mi fish and chip shop was closed The Flying Fish shop I forgot are closed on Wednesday's whom all the staff are really nice and their food is very tasty and they are very quick I really like the bosses Helen and Jason Jason especially because he gave me a lot of boxes for moving and I also got them s Xmas present
Ordered takeaway, 4 different dishes. All tasteless, no flavour. All taste the same. Never again to return and wasted money.
I have found the restaurant, to be one of the best around, the staff are very friendly, and the meals are fantastic, been a customer for a long time now, will be coming back hopefully more often, for my favourite Lemon Chicken with fryed rice.
Absolutely beautiful food, seafood combination amazing, Mongolian beef best I've ever had Satay prawns on sticks cooked to perfection, prawn fried rice also great. My new regular for Chinese won't be going anywhere else. See you soon, thankyou for an enjoyable meal with great service
Amazing Chinese food!
I've order the lemon chicken here for YEARS, and it never fails to surpass expectations.
The special fried-rice is always a go to.
The spring rolls here are huge and super filling.
I've tried pork and chicken with plum sauce (separate dishes) and they have been great - juicy and they are generous with the meat.
Serving sizes are always generous, you will leave feeling so full.
This was my first time trying this place, and I would have to say that I was left with a pretty good first impression.
I ordered the Mongolian beef; which I recommend. The beef was tender and the sauce was rich - however the vegetables were too under-cooked for my liking, so for that I'd rate the overall dish a 3.5. I shall be returning soon to try some of the other dishes, after all you can't judge a restaurant on one dish alone.

Edit: The second time I tried this place I ordered honey chicken with some steamed rice. Both were over-cooked. I don't know how a Chinese place could screw up steamed rice but here we are. Looks like I should stick with the beef.
Excellent food and friendly sevice when we either dine in or do take away. Cantonese beef is fantastic.
Regularly get lunch boxes delivered through Menulog ($2 delivery!)
The food has always been top notch, Never had a issue
Happy to recommend
OMG, this place is sooo over priced it's ridiculous. I don't understand why they put the price up so much and it's not even good food. I can tell u this they will lose a lot of customers as I don't think they would spend so much money on very small serves, 1 serve doesn't even feed 2 people
We haven’t been here for a few years but recently moved back the chicken and sweet corn soup was obviously burnt on the cook and they’ve assumed they saved it but hadn’t the burnt taste was through the whole dish including burnt speckles. Honey chicken sauce all through delivery bag as it was in a foam container this wasn’t menu logs fault this was all on the restaurant was only offered store credit which was useless as we won’t be returning
Horrible food $47 for all of it to be thrown in the bin. So disappointed especially with the wonton soup, it smelt like ammonia and tasted off. Would not come back!
Orderd $95 worth of take away.
Sweet and sour chicken came without the sauce.
(which mistakes happen that's ok)
When I called to ask about a replacement I was told they can drop the sauce off later in the night.which I said is not good enough I don't want to pour the sauce on a bag of cold fried chicken that was sitting there for over an hour befor they could return.
I had to argue the point for 15 mins befor they agreed to replace the chicken and sauce.
The worst thing was I could here the coward owner telling the receptionist what to say instead of getting on the phone himself.
Expensive price, average food and terrible customer service. Try Quality wok instead.
Absolutely delicious food! Such excellent service also! Was able to dine in. Lovely, clean restaurant and relaxing atmosphere. Would highly recommend for dine in or take away!
A little gem that's been under our noses for ages take away was a little expensive but the quality was comparable to Ling Wah in its heyday
Didnt receive our prawn crackers but the issue is the value. $20 for a main without rice - only enough for one person. I'm sure this only costs the restaurant $5 max. Don't bother wasting your money. If you like Pizza go to Fratellis, much better value.
We waited for 2hours to have our order delivered. Came cold and honestly would not let the dog eat it. Never again
Horrible, Mother's Day lunch take away, lemon chicken was inedible, batter burnt to a crisp, meat like boot leather, in fact it looked like it had been cooked twice. Never again.
Dreadful food and customer support. I ordered using Menulog waited an hour and half for the food to be delivered by the time it got here it was stone cold to top that off we were given the lemon chicken sauce but no chicken, when I rang the restaurant it took them 20 minutes to get back to me and tell me they would deliver the chicken but it would take an hour appalling it should have been delivered straight away. The food that was delivered I ended up throwing away the pork was like dog biscuits the sauce was pretty much jelly something they had obviously pre cooked and had sitting in the fridge the fried wontons were just rice paper pastry deep fried no filling whatsoever and the fried was startchie and clearly had msg in it you could taste it. When I demanded a refund for the missing portion I was hung up on. The worse Experiance I have had with a restaraunt delivery and the worse Chinese food I have ever experienced. Be warned don’t order from here you will be very dissapointed
Staff were really patient with my long list of dietary requirements and I had our food within 15minutes
Not the best Chinese I've ever had but it was still really yummy, well cooked and can't complain. Will be back for more
