Came by a few times for their chicken when they were open, it is one of my favourite Korean fried chicken restaurants, hands down best soy garlic chicken in the west, so flavourful, crispy & juicy.
Their take on kimchi fried rice is a must, don’t forget the bacon

My favourite place for Korean fried chicken. We always grab the soy garlic boneless chicken and it never disappoints. Also highly recommend their kimchi fried rice!

The chicken and japchae was really good. Would've love to have more items on the menu.

We got Chicken Joah to cater my recent 30th birthday party and they did the most amazing job! The chicken arrived still super hot and crispy and the chips and slaw and pickles were amazing. Everyone loved it! Great value, delicious food and so lovely to communicate with. Thank you!

The food is delicious and comes out fast. The service lost a star due to the ordering through the QR code system. It crashes and a few of the regular advertised food wasn't available (popcorn chicken)

While waiting outside for my order a group walked past and one said “the chicken in this place is awesome”

Chicken Joah is a great place for small groups if you're walking in!

Its decoration gives casual vibes, and its food is the same.
You're invited to devour SPICY delicious corn noodles, crispy korean chicken with fantastic sweet soy garlic flavour, and chippies heaped with kimchi on top. Eat with your hands for the chicken if you want!
Definitely full after spending <$25pp, where my favourite was the Buldak corn cheese. You can get the same fiery sensation with the samyang buldak instant noodles, but something is just nice about getting it made for you.

Service is simple and straightforward but very friendly! They also supplied a generous amount of radish in a cute jar with the fried chicken, which simultaneously helped me work through the spicy noodles.

5 star if chips were crunchier. Hehe.

It’s more than enough for 2 people.
Friend chicken was soft & juicy.
Friend chips was good seasoning.
Daikon pickles come with chicken. I enjoyed all food what I got.

Just one this if you can improve is packaging box for chicken with source was leaking from bottom of box and my table was sticky and oily.

Great Vibe in the restaurant and the food was really good. We ordered the bone in half-n-half with sweet chilli and snow chilli. Seating wasn’t favourable as we sat on small stools, but the round tables promotes sharing food which was smart. The music also was too loud. Would go again though!

The fried chicken here was really crispy and juicy but it would be great if they have more food selections. Some of the food we ordered were really good, definitely a place to come back again.

It was always crispy and the seasoning was really good.
Today is just an ordinary day in Melbourne. It's just a taste. The crispness is gone and the seasoning is too thin. I hope it's like this only today. Please come back ㅠㅠ!

Food is tasty and yummy. Have to go back and forth to get the cutlery by ourselves many times.

Very crispy fried chicken. Good tteokbokki with instant noodles, and loved the japchae as well. The bulgogi loaded fries were nice as well. My go to place for fried chicken now!

Tasty fried chicken! Was craving for crispy boneless fried chicken and have personally wanted to try this restaurant for a long time. We tried it as we happened to be in the area. Some places I have tried the boneless chicken is too dry, but this one is great! We were surprised how crispy and tasty the chicken was. The original had nice seasoning. Tasty pickled radish too, however wish there was more radish per serving as we love our radish.

My husband is Korean and he approved of the taste, surprised on the crispy yet thin coating and said it was really good too.

Would like to see if the quality is consistent, try the other flavours and bone-in chicken next time!

Update: Would recommend chicken, but would not recommend the army stew, budae jjigae.

I love the chicken here but have been hesitant on trying othe other 'classic' korean menu items, but we tried the budae jjigae along with the chicken. Honestly, I did not have high expectations for the army stew as I think this store's strong point is definitely the chicken, rather than their side items. The army stew was really sad.

The consistency was much closer to water than it was for a stew / jjigae. From our experience, I could not taste the gochujang which is supposed to give it more of a thicker, jjigae consistency. It tasted like a great majority of the dish was just the ramen seasoning.

It was just a really sad experience as the chicken is wonderful! If I compared the two, it would be like -80 for the jjigae and 100 for the chicken. I think the jjigae recipe could definitely use some revision and improvement. I have only tried the chicken and budae jjigae. I'm still too hesistant to try the other items in fear of being disappointed as I would rather spend the money on the chicken.

Got bone in chicken and the spicy rice cake dish from DoorDash. Fried chicken survived the 20 min delivery! Arrived hot and super crispy, loaded with flavour and meat is so juicy and fresh. Serving is bigger than competitors (nene, gami etc) and I love how they used fresh hand torn noodles instead of instant ones in the rice cake dish, wish there was more noodles bc I love it would order again

We loved the charming ambiance here, and the menu has a lot of options that includes all the OG Korean delicacies.
We absolutely loved the Korean fried chicken here and must try the lemongrass fish sauce and the soy garlic, snow chilli flavours. Just mind blowing. Loved the KFC was super crispy, tender from inside and very flavourful.

Also their army stew and tteokbokki are equally tasty, satisfying and not too spicy.

The corn cheese noodles was just divine and was packed with fantastic flavours, highly recommended. Whereas you will fall in love with the loaded bulgogi fries, very cheesy and delicious. Never tried this before, yet it was very irresistible.

The team of staff were very welcoming, polite, and kind folks and the service was attentive and prompt.
Also the prices are unbelievably pocket friendly and this is a perfect spot for yummy cheap eats!
