The best Smashed Avo and poached eggs I think I've ever had! Well worth giving up your mortgage for;-) The coffee is pretty good as well.

Pretty rare to give 5 stars for a review but honestly, Chew Chew deserves it. The food was great, the coffee was excellent and both people we were served by were friendly, chatty, approachable and, almost above all, FAST.

The photo is of the chicken burger, but I'd already done a Forrest Gump by then. I ate some (including the top bun). Oops. Yum, though - try it.

The only downside, and it's impossible to take off a star for something that isn't the cafe's fault, is the freakin' bus stop right next to the outdoor tables. Buses pull up there and idle for 10-15 minutes, making a ton of noise and legitimately polluting the air far more than they need to. But again, not the cafe's fault.

This is my favorite salad dish. Just amazing. The staff here are really friendly. I mean, genuinely friendly. Warm-hearted.:)

Great local coffee shop/cafe just opposite moonee ponds station. Great selection of healthy vegan treats and damn fine coffee.

Good place to chill out after a hectic day at the office.

Food was made with love. However adding sides to your breakfast is a bit of a waste of money. 3$ for one mushrrom, $3 for 2 small teaspoons of hollandaise sauce.felt like a rip off.

Excellent Staff very friendly and always with a smile. Breakfast was top class and reasonably priced. A very relaxing and warm atmosphere, would go there again and again.

My absolute favorite cafe in Moonee Ponds. I eat here alot (hence the photos). Amazing food and awesome coffee. Extremely accommodating to food intolerances and they have a very comforting menu, very homely. So much passion is in the food! Good vibes! And wifi! So much love for Chew Chew!

Had lunch here with my partner and I just could not get over how gorgeous the decor is! Loved the food too! Highly recommend.

What a hidden gem! Had never ventured on the western side of the train line, but what have I been missing out on! Chew Chew has a lovely ambiance. The staff were super friendly, and breakfast was tasty, and with generous size portions. Great coffee also.

Popped into this cafe to get out of the rain yesterday with my kids for a hot drink and snack. The staff were extremely pleasant and chatty. My girls loved their muffins, which were heated up. Great atmosphere, we will be sure to pop back again.

Great gem. The big breakfast was amazing, which kinda dying existence in nowadays cafe menu as you have to buy each extras and will cost you arms and legs. $19.50 for big brekky was stuffed my tummy very well (i would have paid more). Coffee was great and service was top notch. Cookie was amazing and kids friendly. Definetely coming back! Keep up the good work

Just had lunch after finding this place on the web. Apart from the "dad joke" name (its opposite the railway station), it's really quite good. The "big chew" for me and baked eggs for my partner. Both satisfactory. A friendly waitress and an acceptable venue though a bit hard surfaces and echoey. We'll probably repeat the experience.

Super friendly. Great coffee, even better service. Relaxed environment. I will be coming again.
