Excellent chess store and extremely fast delivery! I bought a competition size board with single weights pieces, my nephew and I are very happy. Will continue to buy from this store

I've purchased various items from Chess World with amazingly prompt service and great quality items. I've bought chessboards of various types online, as well as competition sets in the past. I feel very lucky to have such good and reliable chess resources in my own city! Thank you so much for such great service!

Not sure what the last couple of reviews are about. Ordered a full set of weighted plastic tournament pieces. Dispatched quickly over christmas. One came broken, but was fixable. Probably broken in Transit to be fair. Enquired as to whether there was any possibility of a replacement pawn being shipped, but no trouble either way. Two new replacement pawns were in the post express next day.

Great service, very fast and reliable, and quick response time to my enquiry. Would definitely use again.

It is a shame that customers are asked to pay again for returning faulty items. It seems a common practice with this shop after reading these 1-2 star rated reviews. Employing a social media team or use some proven tactics like "buying" 4-5 star ratings etc are not uncommon in today's world but we the customers need to stand up and help each other to call out these dodgy business apractices when it comes to dealing with arrogant dudes like this shop owner/CEO or whatever he wants to call himself.

Bought a chess set from Chess World and got 1 underweighted piece. Asked for replacement and Chess World shipped the replacement piece in express. Great service. Will buy again.

Ordered a product from Chess World 10 August and it's 19 August and still waiting. After several emails item eventually arrived.

This company seems really nice on the surface but it's really dodgy and tacky. I purchased a giant Chess set for $348 including delivery as a gift. I received a damaged and dirty shipping box with a bunch of chess pieces thrown in. When I unpacked the pieces they were all scuffed and damaged with imperfections on EVERY piece.

When I emailed back and fourth with the company, instead of a solution, I receive the most condescending email from the "CEO" basically telling me that I got what I paid for. To make matters worse, He wanted me to not only cover the delivery fee already paid but he wanted me to return the pieces at my own cost.

Terrible store and horrible customer service, I wouldn't recommend shopping here or at their other stores. Oh and they're money back guarantee is a joke!

Ngl really enjoyed visiting this store a while back. Friendly staff and an amazing range of products. Keep chessing chessers!

I won't recommend this company to anyone! There is no quality guarantee and no fair trading at Chess World.
My friend ordered online their chessboard "3 in 1 Dal Rossi Chess" (priced $120, which is not the cheapest at shop where prices for sets start with $35) as a birthday present to me. It came with spots and other defects all over the board. The company (Chess World) claimed it's the quality of the product (that wasn't mentioned anywhere btw) and it can't be guaranteed that the new product will be better, if exchanged. Plus they refused to pay a return post, in case if we decide to return their faulty chessboard. The board weights a lot and the cost of the return post is sufficient from the other side of the country. 
I haven't ever experienced such a poor service and service recovery. Should I mentioned it was the biggest disappointment on my birthday? 
Think twice before you order here and be prepared to get into numerous email and phone conversations, which will leave you with the same faulty product for no expense to the Chess World. There is no quality guarantee and no fair trading in the Chess World. Be aware!
P.s.: after this review was published on the ChessWorld FB page, their owner, David Cordover, verbally abused me. It's a shame such things are happening unpunished.

The range of products were excellent and the range of chess related things were fantastic, yet the service didn't replicate the store. We were served by a young Asian lady which first emailed us a receipt that never came, so we went to retrieve a hand printed receipt and it took 15 minutes for the lady to print. Disappointed.

This is the place to come when you need your Chess peices and advice. They have everything you could imagine about Chess. Australian Owned and operated they can show you how to improve your game and the Chess Kids classes are fantastic. This Company Rocks
