CherryHill Orchards - Coldstream reviews
27Couldn’t go home without driving into Cherryhill - Coldstream. Service was so friendly, loved the music and the outdoor seating was so peaceful and open. Icecream and cherries were just delicious! Thank you!
The yarra valley orchard is very beauitful place to visit during summer and in November this is when delicous cherry are out in season those who are chefs and foodies
Great place for cherry picking! Cherries were ripe and sweet and its just a buffet of cheeries! Staff were friendly with smiles on their faces and very helpful. They have an outside area for picnics and seats to rest. Lots of patking space. Their cafe sells coffee, ice creams and drinks but thats it. Only issue i had was that they should have other food selections like sandwiches, wraps or quick serve meals. Tip: bring your own packed meals if you decide to stay a bit longer especially for kids.
I really enjoyed this experience at CherryHill Orchards! I love eating ice-cream after picking cherry. The staff was super friendly and nice, especially I am impressed with Victoria-she was guiding us at CherryHill orchards and supporting us a lot! It is our first time and we will definitely come back here
I had a fantastic time at CherryHill Orchards! Indulging in ice cream after cherry picking was delightful. The staff, particularly Victoria, stood out for their friendliness and support. This being our inaugural visit, we're sure to return.
A really good time.
Helpful staff and fair prices for cherries and other things in the new shop.
We got one of the picnic boxes which was a bit stale unfortunately, so I wouldn't order one of those again - but will come back next season for more cherries
Great day out working hard.good ice cream could use a bigger cafe with seating when it gets hot.
Very disappointed this year.the quality of the cherries is horrible. When we are picking the cherry I could hear every one is complaining about the quality of the cherries and how it tastes, we visit the place today there is lots of people but only few rows for picking as there’s more and more ppl arriving, but no much good cherries left on the existing cherry threes rows.it’s very disappointing and disheartening coz we spent $79.50 for the entry and 1 big grab and go boxes but literally only ate about few cherries there and most of them were not even sweet. Such a waste of money, very disappointed this year. When we arrive there, literally not much things left. I asked if they would open more rows for picking as there’s more and more ppl arriving, but no much good cherries left on the existing trees/rows. They said no coz it’s not rip yet.
I was surprised by the quality and the size of the cherries. So many cherries on the tree, and they are very fresh. We were all happy to have time on the farm. Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience to us.
I was really looking forward to cherry picking at CherryHill Orchards but unfortunately my experience was lackluster. The staff were cheery and lovely upon arrival but once we started the actual cherry picking is when our disappointment grew. We noticed that the cherries were all rotten. We thought it was just in the first few trees but as we continued to walk around, it was pretty much every single tree. You had to really look hard to find a good ripe cherry, so much so that we thought it wasn’t worth it anymore. It felt like we were ripped off paying $60 entry to be able to eat cherries as we were picking but not knowing most were inedible. The only highlight was the cherry ice cream.
Coming here for cherry picking was a great experience. I would definitely do it again. Don’t miss out on the tasty soft serve cherry ice cream!
A beautifully presented venue with great scenery and good amenities. Nice souvenir shop, Really delicious Cherry Spritzer drinks!
I have been contemplating to write this review or not but i think it appropriate given the business is happy to keep charging bookings given the lack of quality avaialable at the time.
As some other people have stated. There was alot of rotten cherries. I was there Sunday 18th. I had to contain my dissapointed for sake of my kids. We didnt stay picking for very long given the lack of qaulity at that time and day.
Cherries were mostly small due to lack of sunny weather this season but I still managed to get a few kilos of decent sized yummy cherries. Staff are so lovely. Cherry ice cream so good. Also had live music when we went which was lovely.
I wouldn't recommend Coldstream if you have the opportunity to book Wandyn East.
Wandyn's location is far superior. Better views, better set up, better food trucks, better overall ambiance and experience.
Coldstream on the other hand was forced on to us last minute as CHO forced us to rebook to this location. You have to get a bus to the picking, at least in our case.
Good plump juicy cherries you can get here at the right season. Didnt do the picking, but there are gardens you can picnic on, and ice cream van when we visited.
As many other comments before mine, I was disappointed in the quality and quantity of cherries. On arrival there were only 2 rows to pick from. They were full of people. We struggled to fill our bags with quality cherries. Yes there were cherries but most were broken or not worth picking. Yes the season was not the best, but don’t allow people to book thinking they were going to pick quality cherries from lots of rows similar to last year. More people arriving after we left. I don’t know what those people were going to find if anything left. You lost my trust and the trust of my family. Next time be honest and tell people what to expect so they can decide whether to come or not.
I have been living in Melbourne nearly 20 yrs, and I pick Cherry every summer. I visited today afternoon, it was the worst cherry picking experience. My 4 year old daughter was soooo disappointed, she says she will never come back. We were allowed to pick among 3 lines. All the cherries we could find were overripe & small.
I would like to give a 0 if I could. We went to the old cherry hill orchard last year, it was fabulous. This year, I cannot believe how worse it is. ️️
Terrible experience.
Most of the cherries are either too old and wrinkled, or small. Very hard to find good ones. There are only two types of cherries too, I was expecting more cherry varieties as I paid 20 dollars pp for the entry.
It was really amazing experience. Also, I'd like to say thank you so muchhh to JJ, Tailor and a Chinese girl who helped us on that day. We really appreciate your kindness.
Excellent management of visitors. Book online in advance. Sweet and lots of cherries
But one drawback is there is absolutely no food available. So better carry your lunch.
