Cherry Walk Cafe

I have to say, this place has left me completely shocked. This place utterly abysmal. I'm not someone who normally complains at restaurants, but I simply cannot keep quiet after what I experienced here. The "chicken & avo, sun-dried tomato, onion & aoli focaccia" that I ordered was a complete joke. My friends were appalled when they saw it, and urged me to speak up. The so-called "chicken" was nothing more than two measly shreds on one side, and a piece of chicken skin on the other. To add insult to injury, the relish and spinach were equally pathetic.

At first, I felt bad about complaining, so my partner went in to address the issue. But after hearing how the owner handled it, I no longer feel guilty. Seriously, telling us that it's "with chicken, not full off chicken" is a pathetic excuse. A bit of chicken skin is just embarrassing. The way you handled customer service was downright vile. Every single person in my group had a terrible experience. I understand that it's a busy weekend, but that's no excuse for having a terrible attitude towards customers.

So I’ve posted it here now aswell!
Had breakfast here this morning waited way too long. No apologies from staff, server was rude.
Had a croissant basically paper it was that thin and rubbery.
Definitely won’t be going back!

Grouchy lady serving us didn’t have a nice energy, proceeded to kick out our friends for talking to us whilst eating food from a food place ages away. Could have at least asked them to leave in a nice manner, it’s like she had previously had a vendetta against them. Obviously not my place to say, she may have had a bad morning. Just making observations. Good food.

The best chilli scrambled eggs! My kids had waffles and they loved it. Will be back for sure.

Perfect setting, great service and Best eggs and roasted tomatoes on my breakfast than I can remember.highly recommend

Nice cozy place. But hospitality is lacking unless your a local. Not welcoming and it’s not hard to crack a smile. Definitely could see the potential in this café being rated better.

I got a bacon and egg roll for $9.50 which would want to be good for that price. It was nothing but soggy bacon and undercooked egg. Couldn’t finish it. At least put some sauce or relish on it. Disappointed and feeling ripped off. Cheers.

Exactly what you’d want from a small town. Bacon egg roll was perfect. They have bonsoy. Coffee was good. Highly Recommend

Very expensive
Egg and bacon roll had one piece of bacon, ginger glow tea tasted like twinning fruit tea that had the bag removed too quickly. BLT was good but overall very expensive, need to work on portion sizes and tea was awful.

Older lady at the counter was rude.she doesn’t want to make what you order.

We must have picked the wrong day to eat at the Cherry Walk Cafe. The young staff member completely messed up our breakfast for 3. We ended up with 5 meals! The disappointing part was that no one felt the need to take responsibility for this rather large stuff-up. We paid too much and had a disappointing cold breakfast ️

Lovely coffee and cake this morning at Cherry Walk Cafe. Staff were friendly and service was prompt. Beautiful spot to sit outside in the sun.

Stale and mouldy bread, staff unfriendly and bad quality food overall. I would avoid if possible

I have spent two breakfast while I stayed in Bright.

The outdoor area was ideal for us because we have a dog. We met locals and it made the environment so natural and enjoyable as a traveller.

The food was in great quality with its affordable price.

We will come back again

Very rude staff, pls read the reviews. Terrible experience we had as a family. I would never recommend you go here. Negative comments are crucial for any business to improve however they reply very rudely and arrogantly, it is beyond me.

Stopped by here on the way home from the snow. Couldn't have picked a worse place. Reviews were oddly mixed, but now I just believe the good reviews are friends or family. The girl behind the counter had non-existent customer service skills. Not a smile, nor a "hello". Bacon and egg rolls were terrible. One drop of sauce. Politely asked staff for more, and have you ever seen someone's eyes roll to Africa.everyone so rude.

Do yourself a favour and avoid. Not so Bright Cafe in a pretty town. After reading reviews owner seems like a piece of work. Bet she is going to reply "mate. ". Lol. This cafe generation of butt holes.

I guess if I was a yuppie and was trying to fit in with the "in" crowd, then the sub-standard food and exorbitant prices wouldn't worry me. Do yourself a favour and go up to the bakery, where, if nothing else, you get served by friendly Aussies.

Meals were good. Younger staff serving were great. The Older woman working the coffee machine behind the counter was very abrupt and rude to other patrons waiting to order. It’s not good for business and reading the other reviews it’s not a new thing. I understand the hospitality industry has had it hard with Covid etc.but it’s not hard to be nice.

The food is delicious, but the cashier was rude.
As this country goes by humanity's rules. You must be more careful with your action. It looks like you are resistant to Asian people.

A very unpleasant experience. Terrible customer service. Huge wait for food and then they screwed up our order (didn't apologise) so it was another long wait for them to fix that. Food was pretty average when it did finally arrive.

They included egg in my wife's vegan dish. When we brought it back, they sneakily tried to fish the egg out of the ratatouille beans and serve it back to us - to me, this is such a dishonest and potentially dangerous thing to do, especially for people who may have serious allergies. Thankfully we saw the staff member try to trick us and insisted they made the dish again fresh without the egg in it.

After our meal, I talked to the manager about the deceptive behaviour and poor service. She was rude and had a smirk on her face the whole conversation. She apologised but refused to properly take responsibility as 'she didn't see it happen'.

I entirely understand mistakes happen and that sometimes food takes longer than the customer would like, but I just couldn't ignore the dishonesty and rudeness. At the very least, apologise when you mess up and drop the attitude.

I'd recommend avoiding this cafe, especially if you are vegan, have dietary needs, or just value good, honest service.

Reading other reviews, I can see that rudeness and failure to apologise are ongoing themes with this cafe. I can see I should also look forward to the owner replying with an excuse or yet again blaming the customer
