Chemist Warehouse Manchester Unity Building

This is the first time that I have ever given a negative review, but looking at other responses to this place I am not surprised. I went in to get a prescription filled and was advised that what normally takes 30 seconds (ad did at the Chemist Warehouse in DFO Southern Cross) was going to take 20 minutes. I canceled my order and went elsewhere. I had been there before and they were very unhelpful, so I have well and truly learnt my lesson. Would suggest for better accuracy, they should relabel their dispensary as “Unprofessional Services “.

Busy Chemist Warehouse store branch, got no problem with the service and the staff, only if the security at the front could be calm down for just a little bit and no need to suspect every customers who comes for visit, I think that's gonna be a good idea Been here many times!

First a girl literally asked me to look for the perfume by myself on the otherside of the chemist. Waited 15 mins to get in hold of someone and finally when i got one, they took another good 15 mins to tell me the perfume is not available even though in the website its showing available. Not going back again there.

Truly one of the most degrading and insensitive experiences I’ve ever had at a pharmacy. They had no tact and refused to sell me over the counter medication even though I was on their system. Asked very inappropriate questions and made me feel humiliated. Do not go here if you want to have any sense of caring from another human being.

Small branch so it's quite compact. It's stocked pretty well considering the size. There's an escalator for entry and exit from Swanston St (which gets covered when store is closed), and steps only using Collins St entry, so use Swanston St entry if you don't want to step on some old food or smell human urine. The cold and flu meds are still in an isle in this store, as of 30/12/22 (compared to other branches nearby who have now stocked them behind pharmacists counter) so you don't have to queue behind the prescription line. No accessible entry into this store.

Make sure you allocate an hour to get a prescription. One chemist giving advice filling prescriptions total drainer

Worst service. No one cares there. I asked for help the man didn't even say a word just grunted as he walked past. Asked two other people who were useless. Finally went to Priceline down the road and they helped me and had a great attitude.

I visited this store for few things and Varun who is working there helped me a lot, he is polite, humble and friendly guy!

The security guard in this particular branch is quite bizarre. I really felt uncomfortable that he stands at the corner while I’m choosing a hair dye.

Love, love, love Chemist Warehouse, it is my favourite place to shop and I am always finding an excuse to go there. I buy my supplements there and shampoo and toiletries. Great prices together with great service. I never leave empty handed after a visit and look forward to visiting again.

Over the years I’ve been living in the city, I’ve always come here. Always had good experiences here. Funnily enough it was always happens to be Simon the pharmacist who helped me, warm, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and always knew me by name. Thanks for the help and keep up the good work!:)

Rude, disguising and unprofessional behavior by the lady at the counter. Ended up leaving the store without making a purchase. Inconsiderate and unhelpful staff.

Security should be fired! The security here takes his job WAY TO SERIOUSLY! Makes shopping there incredibly uncomfortable and insulting. It doesn’t matter how nicely you’re dressed, the moment you enter you are treated as a thief. This has been a regular occurrence nearly EVERY time I’ve gone to this Chemist Warehouse. It’s been the same for friends of mine. And I see some reviews mention the same thing! My friend was closely tailed everywhere he went in this store (he is dark skinned) until he felt insulted enough to leave, and stormed out. I hesitated to go in yesterday as I hate how security always makes you feel unwelcome, watched and incorrectly judged. But I went in looking for a certain product. IMMEDIATELY was followed everywhere, even when talking to the retail workers. Security gave me a hard time for spilling literally 2 drops of coffee I offered to clean up. Admitted he checked the cameras on me. And said I had to pay for a sunscreen I sprayed once to test. When I went to pay for the sunscreen, the registrar worker said I did not have to and he kicked up a fuss. He then gave me a hard time for not buying anything. Even tho they didn’t have what I wanted. I’ve given this shop too many chances, no one I know or myself will ever go back. I’ve never been treated like such a criminal for no reason in any store like this before. DO NOT GO!

Good spot. There's a gentleman that was working on the floor, I didn't catch his name but he had a shaved head and a slight accent. He was extremely helpful, he went above and beyond to help me with getting cashback from Telfast. Great customer service.

Staff were knowledgeable in immediately locating what I was after. Perhaps because it is a city store, in a prime location, some of the stock sell out quickly - get in quick!

I was quite low on my Insulin supplies and I was moving house and couldn't find my script. They happen to have some Humalog pens that were short on my last order.and the Pharmacist Adam with the curly hair was very helpful and friendly and solved my issue. Great service. Thanks

Horrible service from everyone in the store. The pharmacist also refused to give me a second box of famciclovir claiming it was illegal (it's not), went back to my doctor who advised me to use a better pharmacy. This is an anti viral with no way to be abused, just a power tripping pharmacist.

Very poor customer service don’t even deserve 1 star. Ianliard the blond guy assisted me. I bought Glucose Meter for my mother-in-law at Chemist Carnegie and noticed that it is already opened while riding the train on my way to city. I called Carnegie to inform them if I need to go back for an exchange or can I just exchange it in the city. They said it is fine so I went to the nearest Chemist in Flinders Station (Chemist Warehouse Manchester) only to be told that he doesn’t believe that it was opened.straight to my face I was told a liar and even pointed out that I should be able to notice it because someone assisted me! He then informed me that nothing’s missing and doen’t really plan on processing the exchange. Why would I go back to chemist and request an exchange without anything missing in the box if I was the one who opened it? A little bit of common sense should be donated to this guy. Then he says he can’t exchange it because it was ‘price match’ with David Jones Pharmacy and it will take a long time to process it. I told him I’ll wait so he can confirm the price. Im not sure if he called the store because I was there earlier but they don’t have Amex and Carnegie Chemist was on the way so I bought the kit there. He basically told me he doesn’t believe me that it is the same price in store! I offered to show him a picture of the stock in store but told me it doesn’t matter. So I told him if he can process a refund then because I was so annoyed and doesn’t want the item anymore. Then he said no refund. He just makes up excusses and doesn’t want to assist customers. Im not sure why he is in customer service. Went to Paramount with no problems nor drama I was asked if I want an exchange or refund for the item. Then I was able to exchange the glucose meter for my mother-in-law with no trouble. If you were me, would you dare give an opened medical kit with needles inside to your in-law? Hell No, I didn’t buy it as second hand why should I accept the fact that the item was already used? Should have went to other Chemist in the first place. Won’t visit Manchester Chemist again! No care at all for clients! I suggest staff evaluation especially for the managers who handles customer complains.

Worst experience at a chemist house ever. The security kept on following me throughout the store! You go to a store and browse your options and finish your purchase in 5 mins plus when you are not carrying any bag at all and just your phone and credit card, how is that so suspicious? !
