Chemist Warehouse Keilor East - Supercare Pharmacy

Today, on the evening of December 20,2023, at around 8 o'clock, I went to Chemist Warehouse located at Lot 3/233 Milleara Rd, Keilor East VIC 3033 to purchase some personal health products. Unfortunately, they didn't have the liver supplements I needed on the shelves. So, I sent a message to my boyfriend asking if he wanted to go to the front desk and inquire whether they were out of stock. He entered the store and assisted me in speaking to the staff. During this time, he momentarily placed our dog on the floor as his arm was feeling sore. It is allowed to have dogs on the floor in Chemist Warehouse.
However, a security guard approached us in a very impolite manner and asked my boyfriend to pick up the dog and leave the store. My boyfriend complied and walked outside with the dog. At that point, my boyfriend requested the security guard to stop admonishing him as he was already heading towards the exit. The security guard responded loudly, "Who are you? Why are you talking to me? I'm talking to your boyfriend. "
I proceeded to the front desk to inquire about the health products I needed. However, the security guard continued to follow me closely and stood in close proximity to my body, making me feel extremely uncomfortable and violated. I asked the security guard to keep his distance and said he was standing too close, but he ignored me and responded with a disdainful tone and a contemptuous look, saying, "What are you going to do about it? "
I did not bring the dog inside the store, and I was just a regular consumer shopping there. However, the security guard monitored me until I reached the entrance, making me feel extremely disrespected and even discriminated against. When I reached the entrance, the security guard persisted in arguing with me. Then, a staff member wearing a white robe came out and said something to the security guard.
At that point, the security guard went berserk and tried to forcefully snatch my shopping cart from my hands. I didn't understand why he did that. He gripped my hand with great force while my hand was resting on my shopping basket, preparing to check out. Due to the security guard's rough treatment, there were visible red marks and bruises on my arm, and he even damaged my phone screen, as shown in the attached photos. His actions have caused significant emotional distress, and I never expected such an incident to happen in Melbourne, where I have been living for six years.
Approximately 30 minutes after the incident, the red marks on my arm were still visible, indicating the force he exerted. Additionally, my third and fourth fingers are unable to fully extend and are extremely painful when touched. I no longer feel safe going to this store, as I believe my well-being is at serious risk. After leaving the store, other customers who witnessed the incident kindly comforted me and advised me on what to do. I am grateful for their support.
I have already reported this incident to the police. Now, I need you to provide me with a reasonable explanation and resolution. This person must apologize for their rude behavior. Under no circumstances should he be allowed to touch or harm me.

This is the terriblest chemist warehouse, in VIC. Don't go

A 10 minute wait as they said turned out be a hour while my wife who just came out hospital waiting in the car in pain

Don’t come here unless you want to be followed the whole time. Apparently if you’re lil sus or not at all, doesn’t matter, the security guard will follow you everywhere so obviously on EVERY occasion including busy times!

I shopped here often and everytime I get followed by the same security guard.

Such disrespect and distrust, I would understand if it’s my first time but I shopped here many times and paid for all my items everytime. Never stolen. Yet I’m still targeted.

Is it because I’m the only Asian in the store during those occasions? I’m always targeted in this store. Never once felt targeted before until this store.

Great customer service by pharmacies but idiot, disrespectful security guard.

Everyone is right about the security guard. Shopped here few times and every single time we got tailed. Felt super uncomfortable as they look at you judging that you gonna steal something. Almost felt a bit racist, as we were one of few Asians shopped at that time. Bit too obvious the way this security guard follows us on every aisle we stepped on. We will do our best to not go into this store anymore. I hope some competitors notice this opportunity and build a 24 hours one nearby.

The worst place I have ever been to: Unethical and rude.

I went here to buy an antibiotic eye-drop for the stye and the staff she gave me Chlorsig without asking me if I was using any medication and the prescription. Then I got the side effects from antibiotic. When I came here I asked for assistance or just return/refund it back the guy called Mitchell not only showed no responsibility but also said "that is not our fault that is our manager's fault " with the upper tone as he was shouting at the client/ patient. I was such in my eye shore and shocked that why can the chemist has such an inhumanity.

Perfectly happy, this chemist is 24 hrs, i went there around 12: 45 am to get a cough syrup and pain killer, the staff were really nice, I didn't ask for the guy's name who assisted me, but he is truly a gentleman, five stars all the way

Ugly place. Security guard is intimidating, will state at you like you steal something and throw a finger at you! Not recommended, not professional. Came there to exchange my item and they said I " abused" security guard so no exchange. Get rid of that security he scares people away. Horrible place, not recommended

Terrible service, not enough staff and super long wait times to collect prescriptions. Not good enough! Staff see that the line is out the door and they pretend not to see us wating

Josie was a superstar Customer Service Officer second to none. Today I went to CW Keilor East and I could hardly walk (Gout) had to pick up nappies for my Grandson. I asked Josie if she could assist me and she did. She walked to the isle located the nappies grabbed me two bags and walked it to me at the checkout. Her professionalism, quality customer service is the reason I come here because it's also a 24 hour Chemist in the Western Suburbs. Josie didn't have go out of her way to help but she did and I appreciate you for it. Thank you Josie you're a legend.

Pretty good chemist has most of your needs, however without a doubt always busy, lines to pay for your goods and long wait times for prescriptions. Not the staff fault just a high demand area and understaffed.

Don't come here for stat Dec. Pharmacist told me 20 min wait even tho it was 7am and I couldn't see any other people in the store.

Worst store no customer service skills in there they speak rudely to you and leave you sitting there wait for ages I suggest people go to another store with better service and product availability.
I had to go to there head office to make a complaint as they wouldn’t help me nor their manger which I can’t even be sure he was wasn’t in uniform but he wouldn’t even give their names out for the complaint when asked worst store ever never will I go there again rather drive 30 mins to another one!

Worst chemist warehouse ever in Melbourne. Waiting for 20 minutes to pay but no one comes to collect the money. Behind the counter person is very rude and unprofessional pharmacists.

Absolutely hopeless in their stock levels with nothing on the shelves. Some products are not even available for weeks. Completely hopeless managed store

I have reflux. Because I'm going on holiday for 32 days, I wanted to buy 3 packs of 14 tablets.
Not that it's any of their business, but the rude chemist refused to sell me more than 2.

Best Chemist in the area and possibly globally. Excellent customer service from not only the shop assistant but the pharmacists (Francis). Exceptional service and extremely knowledgeable across a breadth of products and symptoms. A true testament to the profession.

Worst customer service. Asked for help for a particular cream, and the guy told me the aisle. I couldn’t find it, so he was like “guess its not there” instead of trying to help me. I eventually went back and found it. Also, the shelves are never fully stocked, lots of empty shelves.

This place is a joke. Tony (the owner) refused to provide a refund on a faulty item because it was open. How else would I know I had a faulty item without opening it? I returned back on the same day with a receipt and after showing the fault to one of the staff members, she told me even though she agreed with me, Tony would not refund my money because the item was open. You are better off driving to a different location, because this Chemist warehouse thinks you have the time to take up to the manufacturer instead of looking after their customers as they should. Too bad I'm just a regular customer that will make no difference to his business. This place deserves to close down for treating customers like second class citizens. Shame on you, Tony. I will never stepping foot there again.
