Chelsea Skatepark reviews
18I often visit here to enjoy watch kids, teens and adults doing scooty and skateboards. Once in a year competition happens here
Favorite park to come to after a long day, very friendly skate community gets sketchy at night
Amazing place, no downsides but parents please understand that 4 year olds on scooters can get in the way.
Ideal skate park catering for roller blades, scooters, skateboarding and bikes. Very roomy and ample seating throughout the park, a fixed DJ console for all to play. Basketball and netball area also next to skating area.
What a great, HUGE skatepark and playground area. Great spot to spend a couple of hours to exhaust the kids.
Great park, always full of kids as long as the sun is out. People are usually respectful and give smaller kids space.
Great place for skaters, It even has DJ Console where anyone can loop some beats and add music from their phones.
Great local skate park with something for everyone. Plenty of different obstacles to choose lines from. Can get VERY busy on a warm day though and it would be a benefit to everyone if parents actively supervised young kids. The skate park isn't a giant slide; that's located across the road!
Also has one of the best metal halfpipes in the country. Toilets are nearby too with shade and BBQs. Give the nearby DJ set a go too if you're keen!
I have been to many, many different skateparks around Melbourne, no other parks beat this one though. Everything about it is awesome. It has great street, an absolutely perfect little mini ramp, great vibe, it’s beginner friendly, and not to mention the awesome metal ramp! Even though it can get packed at times, the park is generally flowy for a good skater, and has a lot of options for beginners. Would 100% recommend checking out Chelsea skatepark if you haven’t been.
I don't skate, I just walk my dog around the park. This skate park is huge, and is always filled with children and adults of all ages. There are also picnic tables, bins, drinking water bubblers, a gazebo, toilets, and a fenced in play ground for young children. A great place to take the whole family.
This is a really great park with lots of variety, loads of lines and some great obstacles. It has a wide steel ramp about 5'-6' high with an extension which is under a canopy to offer some shade. Adjacent to the ramp is a large concrete plaza with lots of curved bowl style quarter pipes and flat banks wrapping around the park. There are also blocks, rails, a pyramid and a 4' spine to keep you entertained. The concrete is smooth and fast and any graffiti is regularly removed. Lots of free parking nearby and two water fountains on site. The downside to this amazing park is its proximity to a playground and the tendency for parents to stand all over the park 'supervising' young children on a variety of scooter, skates, bikes etc. Gets quieter after 18: 00. Great park, highly recommended.
Great skate park for skateboarders, rollerblading and scooters. Lots of variety of ramps, great place to learn
Excellent skate park, open area for all ages and experience. Mostly transitions and concrete mounds. There also an old school metal halfpipe for vert skaters.
Really great spot for children here, they have an opportunity to give everything a go and tp watch others who might be more experienced doing their own thing.
I've seen a lot of these kids supporting each other and giving advice, it's a great environment and not at all what you might imagine from a skate park.
Very impressed with the equipment available, gives everyone a chance to try these things without having to doll out cash.
It would be amazing if they had toilets close, though if you do a quick walk over to the bicentennial park, there are some there.
A little extra shade in a spot you can sit and watch everything happen would also be fantastic, in the meantime maybe I'll just be super embarrassing and bring a sunshine umbrella!
A great park for a day out with the family. Plenty of fenced play areas + equipment for the kids, lots of seating and shelters, several bbq areas. An outdoor basketball court, skate & scooter park, and a huge surrounding reserve for nature / dog walks.
Good skate park how ever it is treated by parents and young children as a playground rather then a skate park. Parents do not supervise there young children either which only makes it more likely someone will be seriously injured one day. It's extremely frustrating the facilities can not be used for what they were intended for and the council does not seem to care.
Scooter kids kepy dropping in on me.low key.i went there to skate with my mates but when i got there, they already left and were getting fish and chips wearing my socks.alright overall 4/5.
Rly good place however scooter kids n posers kept dropping in on me and the amout of barrels i could produce were limited rip pre phat tho still aye.
