Chelsea Charcoal Chicken

Went there to get a Family pack with extra half chicken, extra salads, scallop potatoes and few burgers, so pretty much was about to spend over $100 including drinks. I asked if they can do the extra half chicken as chicken breast. In the past they have done this and not charged, nor does it say extra for it he wanted to charge me extra this time.so I went few doors down instead. Over $2 you lost a customer who is a local. It's very dissapointing considering they recently burnt down and reopened, I was going out of my way to tell others to go there and was going myself often to support them.it's $100 this time but you lost a customer for good. Over $2 dollars.

Best charcoal chicken I have ever been to. I moved 20 minutes away from the area, and I literally drive here whenever I feel like charcoal chicken.even when there is another charcoal chicken 1 minute from my home.
There potato scallop is top tier & the tastiest potato scallop I have ever had (I need the recipe)
The customer service is always great, food is always fresh, well priced, large servings & I’ll keep coming here for many more years to come as long as there’s the same owners with the same food quality!

I had charcoal chicken across Australia and honestly this is the best place I've been the owner knows exactly what his doing staff are friendly also reminder they charcoal chicken and lamb super tender spice was perfect my whole family loved it definitely will be back guys thank you for the delicious foods

The chicken is cooked well and the salads are fresh. I liked that the coleslaw was not drowning in mayo. The shop looks well maintained and clean. And the chips are good too. They use Lilydale free range chicken which is the best.

I like their chicken, their chips and their salads. They do it well and happy to support local when deserving.

This review is really for their chicken. I thought this won't be any good compares to the Carrum one as carrum always has a long queue, I was wrong and chicken at this place taste way better. I am not sure why the one in carrum is so popular, much prefer this one.

Chicken was so tender and juicy, beautifully charred and the chips were perfect - crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside!

Good old charcoal chicken I forgot how good it is. Really tasty right through the chicken, chips and gravy cooked to perfection. Fantastic

Asked for schnitzel, chips, gravy and got a very little minute trickle of gravy over my chips.

Got the schnitty burger and chips. Burger was huge amd the chicken was extremely crispy and tasty. Chips were great. Well seasoned and fresh. Excellent meal. Well worth the money.

The food was fine. The portion size was a bit small for the price. The female staff member was pretty grumpy.

This place never takes a name with phone orders. They are always late when you go to pick up. Also the other day they gave my phone order to someone else. Second time this has happened. Poor customer service.

Whole chick is nice, fresh and moist, staff are friendly, not a fan of the rice stuffing in the chicken. Prefer OG breadcrumb style.

Food great.customer service ummm.no.grumpy female server.made every customer wish they hadn’t ordered at 7.50pm despite closing time being 8pm.if you are not preparing food after 7.45pm maybe close the door.one guy even said sorry if its a bother.her reply- it is a bit we are trying to clean up and finish.

The server seemed nice, but that chicken was so unbearably dry and so salty and I couldn't finish it. Worse than a woolies bbq chicken I'm afraid to say. The chips were fine, still a bit too much salt paired with the salty chicken though, overload. Very disappointed. Not too sure why charcoaled chicken taste no different to any other basic bbq chicken. The quantity was pretty good though, decent amount of chips with the $12 half chicken and chips.

It is FREE RANGE chicken, that got me in the door many years ago! They kept me with delicious, gluten free chicken and chips, and a lovely family owners. Easy 5

Delicious chicken, always very tasty and juicy. The grilled chicken burger is my all time favourite!
