Chaos Lab Melbourne: A Creative Experience for Children reviews
17Expensive for what it is. Staff was bored and didn't engage with the kids much except for only 1 staff?
Not as big as I was expecting - but the ticket cost is lower than most other children's activities around so I can't complain. The highlight of the visit was definitely the ball pit where the kids will probably spend a big chunk of their 1hr allocation (but you can stay longer if you like). The sand pit had no colours as per photos I saw, and one of the activities was out of order. Overall above average.
Such a great experience for my 3yr3mth old daughter. Spent over an hr there. Will definitely return.
Excellent place to take the kids. Science show was both funny and educational. All exhibits are all very hands on. Daughter really loved the slime lab
The kids liked it but as a parent I founded it short on science related activities. The short science show at the start doesn’t really talk about science when they do the experiments. If they halved the price it would be worth going but don’t expect it to be an educational experience.
Staff were really rude to the kids and unfortunately not just one but across the board throughout the whole experience, you feel rushed out for a 45 minute session and not worth $29 per child. Plenty of other activities out there for the kids that are more interactive, fun and more worth your money. Very underwhelming I would not bother when you have to also pay $10 to walk around and supervise your child per adult.
The kids had a blast, including my 2.5 year old. We were only able to secure a 4pm booking despite booking it 3/4 days in advance but the staff let us in 30 mins early which was very nice of them and the kids stayed there till closing time! 10/10 would recommend.
My 7 year old loved this. The science show, sand volcano and slime making and playing was the best. We had trouble getting him to leave the ball pit!
My grandson had a fantastic time. He and the other children were spellbound by the formal, very engaging, session at the start (liked the references to chemicals and interactions), and loved all the do-you-own activities, especially the slime and the soft ball pit. Very well-done.
4yo & almost 3yo loved it. Ball pit and neon glow area in particular. Perhaps they are easier to please than older kiddos though.
The kids (and parents too, but don’t tell) had so much fun! There was not a single boring station. Kudos to making science fun!
Absolute waste of money. Cheap and nasty. Also the guy with the moustache working at the slime station was so rude.
Our 8 year old son had so much fun,
He was living his best life
He will be back.
Potentially a great idea. The place isn’t big. The scientist introduction at the beginning was good but short. The following experiences were ok the glow art was full and this kids didn’t find space to draw freely. One of the booth was unavailable. The ball pit was lovely but too small for the number of kids in it. I hope this is taken to improve the experience for future sessions. Overall an expensive one hour session of play however worth a visit.
Staff were really friendly but overall the experience was quite underwhelming. 8 year old got over it quickly. Wasn't too much to do. Maybe better suited for a bit younger.
Promised alot but delivered very little. It was waste of time and money in my opinion. I made the mistake of not reading the reviews before booking.
Good fun for the kids and very interactive. The science show at the beginning was also cool. It was also nice that the girls got to bring home their DIY slime and a separate tub of slime.
