Cha Ching reviews
29This was quite a food experience. Flavours to tantalise the tastebuds in plenty. From the starters to the end, it was indulgent. The 'feed me now' menu was excellent! There was a good range of food to choose from- all the meals we chose were delicious. The service was friendly and efficient. The food came out really quickly. The cocktails are superb! A really fun restaurant with a great vibe.
Finally dining at Cha Ching since it becomes a new popular asian fusion joint recently but ohhh, a bit disappointed.
We needed to waited for around 40 mins for our table. And we were promised to have a particular table after they finish, the restaurant decided to give that table for another group as their booked table was not ready yet. So we needed to wait again for our table.
Excited to be able to dine in after a long wait with the hope that it will worth the wait but it definitely was not.
We ordered salmon sashimi and snow eggwhite for starters, pork belly, roasted duck thai curry and roti for main. They were all just so so, if not even below average. Salmon sashimi was alright with interesting coconut combination. Snow eggwhite was probably the highlight of the meal. Both mains were really dry. We did not enjoy the mains at all. The roasted duck thai red curry was served as a whole quarter so you will need to cut the meat yourself if you order this. A bit hard to eat as they were quite tough too. I love pork belly but pork belly here weren't up to the standard. You can easily find a better pork belly dish even in a brunch place. Its funny that they served 4 pieces of pork belly but they were cooked all differently. One was soft enough but the rest was very dry, not juicy at all.
Service was hit and miss. Place was packed and tables were set closely to each other so its hard to have a talk.
Overall, just a bit of a hype place for sure. Cha Ching needs to step up their game if they want to compete with all other better fusion places in Melbourne. Not recommended for now.
We came during happy hour and enjoyed the cocktails and fresh oysters. The yuzu jelly was really good with the oysters.
The dumplings, duck red curry, soft shell crab fried rice and steamed tofu were very good. Most dishes are slightly spicy. The adults enjoyed the meal but our 6 year did not as there isn’t much on the menu for a young child to enjoy.
Friendly and attentive staff. Overall, a very good experience (just don’t bring the kids).
Great vibes, incredible customer service.
The 5 course set menu is customisable with your own choices. The food is nice and flavourful. There was an allergy mishap where the staff handled it very well.
Expect to spend $50 per person for the 5 course set menu.
Had a great experience at Cha Ching - such cool vibes and everything was so delicious too! Loved all the cocktails and dishes. Fave dish was the salmon sashimi!
The food here is amazing and has vegan options. Amazing and attentive service with really friendly staff. If you want great service and delicious Asian fusion this is the place to visit! Cocktails are fresh, tasty and well balanced. Modern setting and decor. I highly recommend it.
