Ceylon House reviews
21I ordered few curries through uber eats and everything was top notch. All the curries tasted exactly like real Sri Lankan spicy food. Hope to continuously order from here. Hope they keep the consistency. Good job Ceylon House!
So I have ordered rice and curry from them through uber eats ever since I came here, and upto this day they have managed to stay consistent. Their food is very authentic and tasty.
A bit of customer service would help. The lady in the kitchen seems lovely but the guy at the counter puts me off from ever buying anything there. Seems quite messy too.
Soggy and near-rot food.
2 x fish & Egg roll @ $3.50 each
2 x Seeni sambal roll @ $3.00 each
Bad customer service. Sells old foods. Usually I buy String hoppers from them as (there are 25/pkt) one is enough for us rather than buying 2pkts of 20s. Recently ordered few pkts for some visitors & as a usual buyer I could feel the difference and It was old and hard. Even after putting in the microwave it became dry and hard in few minutes. One of my visitors was a cancer patient who is on chemotherapy and there was a pregnant lady too, really disappointed. I know their string hoppers usually fresh and good but this day thy sold old ones. Never go again. Please maintain "Samma Kammantha" as per Buddhist's teaching if you do follow.
Food is very delicious and healthy. I would not Hesitate to recommend Ceylon House to anyone. All the best!
Called and reserved a rice pack for dinner and when I went to pick it up after work it was already given to someone. When I called I offered to give my name but the lady on the other end didn't want. Very disappointed at the lack of responsibility.
Food is expensive and small portions. But what is harder to tolerate is the disrespectfulness of the person in the counter.
Your friends will give more stars but please treat all customers well. You are there because of the customers!
The guy in the counter who is the owner as I know not pleasant at all. Why can’t he thank as a reply when a customer say thank you?
Every time I was disappointed.
People who give many stars must be their friends.
Not recommend at all to anyone and decided not to visit again.
Visited today for the first time, higher prices compared with other Sri Lankan grocery shops and very poor customer service, dont recommend.
Extremely bad customer service by the guy at the front counter. Also, the fishrolls which I bought doesn't have fish in it and not fresh!
The curry packs are so authentic, I get it every weekend and it always reminds me of mum’s cooking. If you are looking for a place to eat with real Sri Lankan homemade flavour not the restaurant style once, I'm sure you won't regret it. Just a review from a happy customer.
Food is expensive. Rolls, fish rotti we bought not good at all. Rolls were filled with just potatoes and the taste wasn't good and not fresh food.
Don't recommend this place to anyone. Quality and quantity both really bad.
Fantastic authentic sri lankan food and exceptionally nice sri lankan cake.
Well stocked grocery as well.
I am happy with the tea I received The bag was bigger than I thought and I love the stamps on the package I get to add to my collection. Thank you I am looking forward to be doing business with you again.
Grocery items are expensive than most of the other Sri Lankan shops. The pan roles bought had an off taste may be not fresh. Bought string hoppers which were expensive than other places. Biriyani $12.75 and the portion was very small. Yet to taste them.
Poor service of staff. Do not recommend.
Has many products to select but compared to other Sri Lankan groceries this store products seems only a little bit expensive for dry products.
But, short-eats prices are pretty much same and I love them.
The rice and curry pack is an all-time favourite. Reminds me of mum’s cooking. Pan rolls are really good. The price is super affordable and reasonable. Highly recommend this place for takeouts.
This is THE place you go to for getting Sri Lankan groceries in Glen Waverley.
There are also a few tables and chairs set up for quiet enjoyment of the snacks and self service coffee. Self service coffee is just 2 dollars and there are plenty of snacks available too. Some of the snack rolls are quite spicy and there are some cakes and sweet drinks to balance that out.
