CERVUS EQUIPMENT Ballarat reviews
8I got my JOHN DEERE X9 1100 Combine 1: 46,9620RX Tractor 1: 64,8RX 370 Tractor 1: 16 and KUHN MERGE-MAXX 950.
Buyers beware, purchased a traded in ride on, thought somehow that such a big dealership wouldn't sell a dud and we'd be safer. Was ok driving to put on trailer, once got home and made it work, smoke like you've never seen and went through 2 litres oil. Tried to contact salesperson who sold it, not responding.
If I could give Brandt Ballarat ZERO stars I would. We purchased a brand new ride on mower a little over a year ago. It broke down literally within the 1st 5 minutes of using it and has been breaking down ever since. We are now up to our 10th ‘fix’. We have found the business to be very unhelpful. Consumer Affairs have been contacted.
Friendly staff. But I thought wearing masks indoors is compulsory. But no one was wearing one. It made me feel uncomfortable. I must say that the staff were friendly and helpful
Purchased a JD tractor with Burder front loader late 2018. By mid 2020 had less than 200 hours. Moved a half tonne in the front loader - well within weight threshold. Heard popping sound and found 4 broken bolts. Called Cervus rep who said out of warranty by 6mnths, he couldn’t help but put through to service. Quoted $900 to attend and repair onsite with no guarantee of success - was advised if unsuccessful would still have to pay for site visit plus transport and associated costs back to Cervus workshop. This was the ‘reduced rate’ as Cervus had another job in the area. Called Burder who said bolts are Chinese and offered to sell a bolt kit for $350. They asked for serial number to be emailed for follow up - no reply. Broken bolts wedged firmly and all efforts to remove failed. There’s no service in this country anymore. Cervus and Burder are prime examples. Even when you buy a new tractor. Instead of offering a reasonable solution and helping a customer, they find a way to wriggle out by pricing a solution out of reach. Yes, loader bolts are just out of warranty but you’d think Cervus (or Burder) would be willing to compromise or work with a customer to find a palatable solution. Very disappointed. This has been our second JD tractor - first and last brand new one. With everything made in PRC these days, better off going for a cheaper supplier without any expectation. JD certainly haven’t rolled out the green carpet for us - and as for being a part of the JD family? We must be the annoying orphan stepchild.
Having bought a new Tractor, then been there for service, parts & warranty; I can't fault Cervus. The staff are a delight to deal with and I will certainly be back for all our needs.
Staff always happy to have a chat and explain how the equipment works.
Spare parts Team very helpful.
