Céramiques Kew

First time trying a pottery class. And I had a really fun time with the 2hr pottery wheel class. It takes about 30mins for teaching and demonstration. Then you get 1.5hr to make the pottery, which allows you to make 2-3 pieces. You get to keep one for free, and any extra pieces is $10 each. Would definitely try it again!

I enjoyed a 2 hour intro class, as well as some Saturday open studio use, practicing my new skill set.
The staff were all so lovely on both occasions, with seemingly insightful knowledge, patience and skill! I’m so excited to head in another time, for some questionable throwing by me!:)

It was a great introduction to pottery. The instructors were attentive and patient for someone that hasn’t done it before.

Did a 2 hour class here with a friend and had a great time laughing at our mistakes and with some expert instruction and positive reinforcement we even managed to make some “masterpieces” to be fired and glazed.
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and bring your sense of fun and humour.
Can’t wait to pick up our pieces.

We (a group of gal pals) did a 2-hour Wheel Intro class and had a really good fun time. We had a couple of great intructors who were patient and skilled and the class left some off us wanting more! Would love to take up one of the longer courses at some stage. Thanks Ceramiques!

Thought that the class would be fully 2 hours but it turned out as a one-and-half-hour class only because it also included cleanup time. I’m pretty sure you can’t make more than 2-3 proper pieces of ceramics because you won’t have enough time to get familiar with the pottery. Instructors were not happy to help me and my friends balance the pottery at the beginning. Also, they put on the attitude when we stayed back for a few minutes to take photos. WE JUST WANTED TO CREATE SOME MEMORIES.
When my friend came and picked up, the staff was literally acting indifferent and disdainful as he didn’t even say thank you at all. No wrapping paper or small carrying bags were offered as a courtesy act. I mean is it THAT hard to wrap the ceramics with some papers? We are not happy with the experience and feel like $80 is not worth at all.

The class was very rushed, the advertised class time is 2 hours, but the actual time to do the pottery is only just over one hour due to lengthy cleanup time.

After the cleanup, the staff rushed us out with a very unwelcoming attitude. We wanted a minute to take some photos for memories, but it appeared they couldn't spare one minute.

I also came back to pick up the pottery pieces later, the staff had a disdainful attitude on pickup as well.

The price was not worth the experience.

Had a great time catching up with friends while doing a 2hr intro wheel class. Two instructors meant someone was always free when you needed some guidance. Didn’t know we were in the presence of a tik tok pottery legend until showing some photos to friends later. There was a review that too much time was spent cleaning up. I’d say feedback has been applied as we were offered several times to feel free to do another piece but we were happy with our 3/4 pieces.

The instructors were very beginner friendly, and the atmosphere of the studio is chill and relaxed

Took a two hour class at ceramiques last weekend - birthday treat with friends. The studio has lots of natural light, is spacious, & playedg a chilled soundtrack during the session. Lots of assistance with technique and moral support, I found it therapeutic to touch and create with the clay. Now tempted by one of the courses. Thanks to Guy and co.

Went on the 2h wheel throwing class with my partner & we honestly had the best time!
aesthetically pleasing venue & very attentive instructors! & for a first timer like me, the process wasnt that hard to follow! Special shout out to Guy for being so helpful & encouraging! Cannot wait to pick our pieces in four weeks?

& Whether you go alone, or for qtime with friends or even for date ideas, 10/10 recommends!

Great little ceramics class. I felt like probably too many people in the beginners class and not enough one on one time with the instructors but was a great little class.

I did a 2hour, once off class for 80$ today. Great teachers and instruction. In the two hours we learned how to throw and some basic techniques. Looking forward to picking up my two pieces in a few weeks. You can also buy some of the teachers’ pieces if yours didn’t turn out quite how you were imagining!

Loved my classes here, the teachers are incredible and are great at instructing people who are new to pottery.
